I hate spiders too - our old Tudor place was literally crawling with them and the guy that bought it from us was petrified of them

Almost without exception, every evening during our ownership at least one (usually a large one, too!) would saunter across the living room floor - lovely, NOT!

That said, that's a very cute house - don't like the exposed brickwork though, although I'm most likely in the minority there, LOL! Our current place had had all the internal walks stripped back to bare stone by the PO - awful IMHO and we're in the process of re-plastering as it's not a cottage and would never have been like that originally ;)

I've just ripped off a wall of dry lining (But ours IS a cottage).
