Problem is with Spondon is the "Spondon Pong" :rotfl::rotfl: - proximity to a rather rather smelly factory.......Can be rather unpleasant when the wind is in the wrong direction. :rotfl:
PS - I see Lander Lane, Belper is still on the market;) Do you fancy it yet???
The white thing is the old lobby when it was a bank, like an internal porch I guess. A safety feature when coming in the bank.
Spondon does not smell any more, the factory has closed down and took its smell with it.

Still not brave enough for lander lane. We did look at one in spondon on Edmund road, great house with loads of potential. Old chap had passed away in his 90's and the place looked like he had popped to the shops :0(
Sadly some one beat us to it as our place still not sold. This months wins February : Lashes0 -

Thanks for that - didn't realise the factory had gone. That will hopefully improve Spondon's future fortunes. Maybe some future price growth there now???? Investment potential perhaps.???
I think Spondon is one of those ex villages/now overgrown suburbs that has languished in the second division for decades. There are some very pretty parts though. Edmund Street is good. The "pong" will not have helped.
That bank conversion looks very interesting. Don't much care for the "lobby" bit although it may not look as bad in reality. It might just be the photos.
I'm tempted to take a gander...... Could be turned into something quite elegant and chic. (Just like me:rotfl::rotfl:).0 -

I'd be very happy with it as it is without changing anything - especially CR Mackintosh's organ casing (LOL :rotfl:)..........Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -

Yeah spondon is picking up. The awful high rise flats have been flattened too so that got rid of a lot of the problems they had. The village is still nice and there are some new developments too.
I want to move there or Belper as I need to be able to get to the train station easily as I work in Nottingham. We don't want to Derby due to family etc and my other halfs truck is very thirsty so don't fancy him driving miles to get to work.
I'm sure if ....no ...when we sell we will find something even if its a project ( OH is a builder ) whilst we look for the ideal home. I just want to move nowyou don't want to buy a 2 up 2 down in town do you :rotfl:

Two up two down???
Maybe;) There's only me to consider now so likely to be plenty big enough.
Must have parking though. And a little garden. A postage stamp will do.
I drive a WAV - Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle and it is a brute. It's like trying to manouevre a tank. Hate the thing. Trying to park the damn thing is an absolute nightmare. At least it's not too thirsty.:D
I will consider anything as far as Belper. I love Wirksworth but my OH's nursing home is in Etwall so I have to be sensible about the distance as I visit him most days.....
If you want to PM me the details I can see if your house meets my needs.0
