A black seat on a white loo does remind me of a public toilet. Not keen on the decor as the only non-black, cream, white and brown in the photos were the green tiles in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom.0 -

But not as bad as dark mahogany on white imhoPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

I wonder how long the EA had to stand poised with camera to get a shot with no cars in.poppysarah wrote: »An awful lot of black..

At the very least it has a serious impact on it's value. The noise levels must be horrendous.
We live about 200 meters away from a motorway and the only time you can hear it, even with the windows wide open is if the wind is in a certain (non-prevailing) direction. Even then it is just a mild rumble. But there are houses in the area - further away than us - that are really blighted by the noise. If you went to look at them on a Sunday morning, you would think they were the most tranquil home possible, but hidden around a kilometre away at the end of the rolling pasture is the motorway with no screening, banking or anything else to deflect the sound. You can't always judge how loud or quiet a place will be by a photograph.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

Another black tile bathroom.Never see the appeal with those as it shows the watermarks so much easier than white/pale.
Kitchen was painted with the same paint from Only Fools and Horses The Yellow Peril episode0 -

This is very true. When we moved out of our old house (distance to main road 200m) and into a temporary rented property in a 'posh' street 500m from the same road, we were astonished to find it was louder. Not only that, but the background city rumble was louder too.
The posh road and its surrounding area was all very well wooded, so this seemed to defy logic. However it was much higher, whereas our old road was on a sort of shelf behind rows of terraced houses which stood between it and the main road. We concluded that much of the noise must have literally gone over our heads.0 -
