Wonder what is going on in that house to stimulate them to list it on Rightmove on Christmas Day :xmassmile
It's not a mad time of year to sell. You'd be surprised how many people start looking in the new year.
First house we sold we put it on at Xmas, when we came back after New Year we had our buyer already. Job done. :beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I would have been more than happy to have that as my bedsit kitchen back in the day! In fact I would be happy to live with it now. It looks in immaculate condition and I don't find the style difficult to live with at all. I would say it was more 70's which I find is becoming my thing. The 70s becoming the new 50s

I agree, we had a similar Wrighton kitchen mid - late 70s. We put it in new then. Funnily enough the bungalow was up for sale a few months ago and it still had the same kitchen. Looked OK too but not my cup of tea now lol.0 -

The Playboy wallpaper frieze in the shower room is a nice ironic touch!
Looks like the owner could no longer raise themselves from the bath, let alone......0 -
Just goes to show that one decade's "luxurious" is another decade's "OMG"...0 -
"Views over the marina, Dartmouth and Britannia Royal Naval College"
Err... from the top floor.
From the rest, see Street View!
Picnic Cottage is about right, though. You'd need to be a sandwich short of one to pay £350k for that IMO.

I have no idea of values in that area but I don't think, as main street views go, that is particularly bad. In fact, I think it has some charm and character. Any noise would be limited to daytime and might be quite interesting to watch the goings on especially if you were in to boats as I suspect many people living there are

It's not an awful view, but the photos of the harbour & naval college aren't a very honest portrayal of what the occupants of that property would see most of the time, which is basically a garage with a tin roof. I'm not even sure what they would see, given the top floor has Velux windows and the photos weren't shot through those.
The sort of boat that appeals to the average weekend sailor wouldn't find its way into that workshop either. They service engines. To quote from the owner's web site:
"We service and repair between 300-400 engines (from 2hp to 350hp) each year and this part of our work is probably 60% of the business."
But it's a nice enough cottage; similar to one we used to rent in Dawlish. That had no views whatsoever, but it did have privacy for barbecues and sitting out; something that place lacks.

No yachting in Dawlish, so prices are more reasonable. Some of Devon is still quite affordable.0
