Haha, was just clicking on the links to have a laugh and this one came up! This is round the corner from me! Priced a bit high this one I would say.

There are 2 rooms listed as 'living room' so I do still think even if you didnt use the staircase room as a bedroom then you would still have 3 bedrooms. Some folk would possibly call it a 4 bed!

Are you still looking then? Viewed any recently?

:-) Hey Ellie, yes still looking. Please keep me in mind if you do hear of any going for sale around Kirky, we'd love to get something around there. There's a nice one up Byars rd, but maybe a little overpriced.

    Did you get my pm?

Also, a nice cottage in milton of campsie, but kids from moc get sent to Kilsyth Academy, mad!

    How's everything?
  • Just around the corner from us. Lovely garden and looks nice enough from the outside.

Loving the archway into the dining room (Photo 4)

The house on Byars road shares a back hedge with us!! We can peek through a tiny gap in the hedge into their garden, not that we do that type of thing but I was out pruning the shrubs along the back today! Its a good sized house, but think the garden is a bit small. Doubt they will get anywhere near the price they are looking for, been up for sale for almost a year and a half now!

Really? :) Is yours the new house? Or the one with the tall conifer tree? I think the garden's bigger than it looks as a lot of it is full of large shrubs. Being a garden contractor I'd be removing a lot of them if we went for it one day, but I'm just not sure about the place and don't want to view it until there are signs of the price coming down more. Being a bespoke design the house isn't going to gel with a lot of people. And it's already been dropped 40k!

But yes, if any other neighbours mention to you they're thinking of selling, drop me a line and I'll pass my details. You can even claim a commission! ;)

Well - I'd probably keep one or two of the light fittings and that drive looks to be stone (rather than tarmac or concrete) and so that could stay too. The front wall could probably stay.

Everything else - the Money "rip everything out" school of thought:rotfl:

I have just had a look at Rightmove, can't put a link as the agent says that's a breach of copyright (!!!) But looked at a house that is really nothing like what we're looking for but I was very interested in the description of the kitchen. "Plumbing for a washing machine and further plumbing for a gas cooker. " That could make for some interesting meals.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

The hedge on the right hand side as you go in their driveway backs onto our garden. We are the wee bungalow on Bellevue Avenue.

If I were you I would go view it anyway, then you know for sure if you can eliminate it as a possibility or what. You can hint to the agent that you think its way overpriced and you never know they might come back at you saying they would take less than the advertised price.

But the agent doesn't own the rightmove advert, feel free to share the link. Not sure i get it though...gas plumbing is the right way to describe it
