  • Hi, I need some one to just help me clarify some things. when i first saw this offer on martins page. Martin claimed that getting the Holmes place offer would allow you to use the virgin gyms. I;ve spoken to a few customer service people at holmes place and they say that this will not be possible. Ive already registered, the only thing is that ive registered with a London Holmes place because my nearest one in Milton Keynes was not part of the offer. I was wandering if this can be transferred or if i canuse a virgin Gym nearby. Secondly, the quidco cashback, will that be if you stay with pruhealth for 12months, or will the cash back be affected if you cancel after 6 months. I thought the whole pruhealth thing was straight forward, but Im a bit more confused. Any Help please.:confused:
  • Looks like it takes about a month for Pru Health to pay out the commission, according to Quidco. It's concievable that they will not pay out if you've already cancelled but once they've paid then I doubt they've got any right to ask for it back.

After all it's referal commission that they've paid to Quidco, and Quidco don't have any control over your cancelling.

Of course if you don't want the gym membership then there may be a good cash making opportunity here.... not that I could possibly condone that sort of behaviour... :D

I'm in Halifax and even though we have one of their gymns, this doesn't appear to be on the list of available JJB clubs and the nearest Cannon one is 10 miles away.

Wonder if JJB have just put forward the quieter branches that have spare capacity?

If we were to select another JJB branch, i the membership allowed to be used in other branches permanently or is it restricted to whre you are registered?

Can you transfer your membership to another JJB gymn?
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.

    Hi Folks

First post so please be nice:

I tried around a few sites and I think the best is Freefivers co.uk

Please use my link if you are interested!

    http://www.freefivers.co.uk/register.php?n=184378

This gives £57.50 cashback plus £5 when you register - so this is £62.50 cashback and they pay back quickly. Although the advert says Boots Vouchers, when you click through, it becomes gym membership.

Got 6 months membership for £15 a month!!!

Now I just have to go to the gym...........:rotfl:

Can you get PHI twice as I already have a WPA policy through work?

Yes, in theory you can have as many as you want.

I've been on quidco, and it pays - wait for it - £115 for a pru health membership!

So, I've worked out that it will cost me between £233 and £189 for pru health (depending on the excess - £233 for £0 and £189 for £1000.)

Then £150 for the 6 months gym.

    That's £383.24 / £339.24 /

I'm paying £323 as it is for Fitness First, which isn't a patch on canons from what I've heard.

    Take away the £115 cashback and it's £268.88 / £224.24.

Does anyone know which package you get at canons?

Cannon Gym costs for Pru members are:

Activation fee £25 + 6 months free membership (Single Standard membership)

There after its roughly half price:

Single standard membership (excluding City club) - Club Membership £25
Multiple standard clubs (excluding City club) - Plus Membership £45
Multiple clubs (including City club) - Connections Membership £50

I tried a quote on Pru Health and came out at £55.00 because of my age.
However approached Cannon direct and have unlimited access and no membership fee for £40.00 per month.

I've also been trying to get a quote and having problems with the second page where you can change the excess problem - guess they're overloaded?! does anyone know what the Cannons membership is - i.e. full on-peak, or off-peak with restrictions etc?

    Thanks
The membership is for anytime - no restrictions on access times.

    Hi,

This is my first post and I'm really interested in the health insurance offer with Cannons, JJB and Holme's Place.

Does anyone know of any deals involving Esporta health clubs??

No Esporta is not on their list, however the list is expanding all the time, so perhaps may be added in the future. I have Pruhealth membership myself and go to a non participating 'Village' Gym as the nearest participating gym is too far away.

ok, has anyone signed up to the PRuhealth policy via quidco? does it show in your quidco account? i went through quidco for quotes on my policy and it showed that it was tracked, so it should be ok, just wanted to make sure. Also, if i cancel after 6 months (my policy would cost me GBP20), and get GBP115 in cashback via Quidco, that effectively means that i'll only be paying GBP5 for a 6 month gym deal? sounds too good to be true...am i missing something here?
