  • I've also been trying to get a quote and having problems with the second page where you can change the excess problem - guess they're overloaded?! does anyone know what the Cannons membership is - i.e. full on-peak, or off-peak with restrictions etc?

    Thanks
  • Can anyone tell me how to increase the Cannons excess to £1000? I've just applied for a quote online, which came out at £28, but I can't see why I shouldn't be able to get the absolute cheapeast quote, £18. However there wasn't an option related the excess so I guess I need to change this somehow.
I hope I can submit two applications for quotes....

    Any advice appreciated.

The excess is displayed in the dropdown box where it shows the quote.
Click on the dropdwon box and set it to £1000.

You can get as many quotes as you want.
  • i still can't get this second page with dropdown box to show properly - help!!!! is it their way of not giving out the cheapest quotes??!!

To get a saving on normal JJB fees you need a monthly pruhealth quote of less than £22.50, assuming you don't want the cover.
"Normal" JJB membership is £35/month (£420/year). You get 6 months free & 6 months at £25 with the pru deal, so effectively costs £150 for the year, plus your pru fees.
It wouldn't save me any money.
You would save because you would have PHI instead of waiting months for NHS treatment you could get it straightaway!

  • Hi everyone. 1st post!

Looks like you can get 5000 nectar points with this offer as well!

    http://www.nectar.com/dynamic/estores/retailer/pruhealth

It would be nice if the Quidco worked... Anybody know if they let you? I know somebody posted that it couldn't be used with any other offers but since the Nectar card points works......
  • Hi,

This is my first post and I'm really interested in the health insurance offer with Cannons, JJB and Holme's Place.

Does anyone know of any deals involving Esporta health clubs??
  • Hi Guys - anyone know if the Pru Health deal is still running for Holmes Place /Virgin Gyms.

    Or am I too late?

Why is noone answering these questions? Grrr...

Well, the nectar offer works so I'm presuming the quidco would?

But I've been waiting nearly a year for my £45 from firstdirect, so I think it's risky.
  • Quidco cashback isn't a sales offer as such - it's referer commission which Quidco credit to you in return for keeping back the first £5 every year.

So no reason why it shouldn't work. In fact, the Nectar awards work on a very similar basis. They will pay 5,000 nectar points which is only worth £25 in Sainsburys (as opposed to £115 Quidco cashback). That said, the points can be of greater value used elsewhere, and you can get a visit for two to Cannons for 500 points. Some people might take the view that 10 visits for two is worth £115, assuming that you can still redeem the points that way once your six months free membership is finished! :o

Opting for the cashback, it looks like it will cost me about £20 for six months gym membership and virtually free for my girlfriend. :j The only thing I want to check is the technicalities around having double health insurance, since we're already covered by work schemes.

Yes it is slightly risky as the cashback isn't guaranteed (Quidco only pay out if they get the money, and that is sometimes difficult if your purchase isn't tracked for any reason). However, I have several tracked purchases of £0.00 from just getting quotes yesterday, so I'm reasonably confident. :T
