Can you get PHI twice as I already have a WPA policy through work?0
-
I am currently a member of JJB (paying more that £25 pcm) so I am thinking of cancelling my current membership & taking it out again via the PHI route.
The JJB I am linked with is where I live and on the list of participating gyms. However I often visit another JJB near where I work (for no extra charge) but this is not on the list of participating gyms.
My questions are these:-
1. Is there any problem with me cancelling my current arrangement and doing it via PHI.
2. I am actually gonna move nearer to work, so does it matter that my local JJB Gym doesn't participate, can I put any old one down, or will JJB stop me at their front door and not let me through as they are not participating.0 -
does quidco work with this?
The examples in the articles won't apply to everyone in that criteria. It does seem to depend on postcode.
Also, iirc the previous one, you could join Cannons city. This time the T&C arent currently available on their site.0 -
To get a saving on normal JJB fees you need a monthly pruhealth quote of less than £22.50, assuming you don't want the cover.
"Normal" JJB membership is £35/month (£420/year). You get 6 months free & 6 months at £25 with the pru deal, so effectively costs £150 for the year, plus your pru fees.
It wouldn't save me any money.0 -
I am currently have a family membership to cannons gym, can I take out PMI and still get continue the membership and receive tje savings?0

I've been on quidco, and it pays - wait for it - £115 for a pru health membership!
So, I've worked out that it will cost me between £233 and £189 for pru health (depending on the excess - £233 for £0 and £189 for £1000.)
Then £150 for the 6 months gym.
That's £383.24 / £339.24 /
I'm paying £323 as it is for Fitness First, which isn't a patch on canons from what I've heard.
Take away the £115 cashback and it's £268.88 / £224.24.
Does anyone know which package you get at canons?0 -
I have holmes place membership via pruhealth and it's very cheap and everything's great. My club is at Moorgate, which usually costs £88, and is one of those clubs where your membership entitles you to visit other clubs (I think it's called clublink, or something).
I phoned them up to check that my membership can be used at other clubs, e.g. the Wood Green one near where I live and they said it can. (I also get free perks such as free towels which I would not have got had I just joined Wood Green).
So anyway - my suggestion. Even if you intend to only visit one of the cheaper Holmes Places, it might be worth nominating one of the clublink clubs as:
1) it won't cost you any more (unless you join one of the really expensive ones)
2) you can then visit most clubs out there, so if you happen to travel or move job you never know it could come in handy
3) you might get free towels
Of course, please check that all this is the case for you, at your local club, before going ahead on my advice!
Hope this helps,

I'm probably being really thick but I can't see any health club special offer mentioned on the website. The only one I can see is the £100 Boots vouchers. Am I not looking properly?0

Also, i have been trying to get a quote off of there for 4 days now, system is playing up, won't show the quote on the next page after the application. Anyone else have this problem
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
