Tada. Socks On....designed to keep babies socks....on. They work too. There is no excuse for bare feet when the weather is cold.
over your baby's normal socks for a tight and secure fit.

not sure I like the sound of that. The bones in babies feet are really really soft and should NEVER be put in tight socks or shoes.
  • They are not designed to be walked with or worn with shoes. They are designed to keep socks on when in buggies, car seats etc. As I said, there is no excuse for a bare toed child in colder weather.
    INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
To ensure a good fit, use the right size for your baby. Always put the ordinary sock on baby first, then place the Sock Ons® over, ensuring a snug fit, as per display packaging.

REMOVE SOCK ONS® WHEN LEAVING BABY FOR SLEEP/NAP.

Sock Ons® are not suitable for walking in or for wearing with shoes.

Yes I took one heck of a chance, dog was primarily lab which would have been a mouther rather a biter, when I saw what daughter was doing I was in there straight away, there was a major risk - thankfully there was no harm done, and daughter respects pets and their foibles from then until present date. A good lesson learnt in my opinion.

You can never be 100% about that.
I'm not saying dogs & children don't mix, but to watch a child tease a dog............

sorry but I still wouldn't use them, anything that puts pressure on tiny little feet is a no-no in my book. Bare cold toes would do much less harm than something tight on a babies foot IMO.

Ingenious but I still think tights (under trousers for boys) are easier. Plus no use for keeping mittens on cold hands, which was my other problem.

That, I have not found a solution to!

My mum knitted some with ribbons in, which I could then tie on! Mind you it's a fine balance between tight enough so child can't get them off, and so tight their hands fall off because of a lack of bloodflow. :rotfl: Good news is they all still have two hands and two feet, and very different internal thermostats: DS3 wanders rounds in his pants at home, the other two wrap up warm.

Are children like the wicked witch of the west? Last time I checked neither of mine dissolved in the rain.

OP was the child in any way protesting at its appalling conditions? If not then what is the problem?
People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

is it not usual to have a child in a buggy with a footmuff in cold weather anyway? So it doesnt matter whether they have socks or not!

DD4 would strip to nakedness regardless of what we put on her or the weather.. she once got naked in tesco.. and a few times she was naked on the school run .. while dressed in.. bodysuit, nappy, tshirt, jumper, dungarees, tights, socks, snowsuit, strapped in and footmuff... it was snowing and she was naked.. under the raincover.. and Id dress her at school and she was naked by the time we got back home.. she didnt wear a stitch until she was nearly 4.

I wouldn't worry if a baby/child wasn't fully dressed out in the rain or in the cold aisle of a Supermarket. I wouldn't worry if the mother was better dressed then the baby/child as long as that baby/child was loved and healthy. What would worry me is if the baby/child had bruises on the face or didn't smile or laugh ever. I would worry if the parent/s shouted and swore at the baby/child like some I have heard.

I used to leave socks off the kids and coats off if it rained this time of year. Of course you wouldn't when it's snowing or minus 1 outside. During the Summer a bit of rain or cold air will not hurt us. I think too many people poke their noses in these days and should mind their own business and stop trying to live other peoples lives.
