Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone and Happy Birthday to Victory

Hi Elly, I don't know if others would agree, but for me I try not to think of it as a 'diet', so I would not set a diet start day.

For many years I dieted, 'cheated' and told myself I would 'start again tomorrow'. I lost weight and put it back on again and again. I am now hoping to make a few simple changes to my diet and maintain them, but also not 'beat myself up' when I give in to temptation.

I think what you said is very true - if you buy it you eat it. I now try to plan ahead a bit more and not have anything in the house to tempt me.

Look on the positive side, you have increased your excercise and on work days you are eating more healthily until you get home. Give yourself credit for what you are doing - and don't give up.

    Jess

  • Happily reporting a 4LB LOSS This week Thank you Fred :A

Dropped my calorie intake and made sure I didn't have any extra's. Really pleased that the summer gain's have come off that easy. I went for a run yesterday and felt so much better at the end. I'm chickening out of going out tonight as it is so windy I don't want to end up running into the wind :(

Happy Belated Birthday to Brighton Belle, Victory and Jess

When I am out running in the wind:
    1) when it is at my back, I get an extra push
    2) When I am running into the wind, I run breathing heavily, so feel there is extra oxygen going into my lungs. This gives me an energy boost.
