    Hey Everyone,

Eric - Glad to hear that you are making progress with the ice cream! I have chocolate flavoured protein shake so may try choc ice cream!!! :D

Tights - Your dinner sounds delicious!!! :) Stuffed chicken breast in parma ham is sooo tasty! We usually have it with blue cheese and walnuts! Sounds odd, but is really nice.... if you like blue cheese, anyway! Not tried it with pesto so will have to give it a go.

Frodo - Not sure if this helps, but when I clicked the link I had to create a Google account, once I had done it the invite to join came up straightaway. I couldn't get to it without creating the account.

Well I've spent the last 5 hours sorting the house out - tidying, cleaning, etc. Knackered now, and definitely think I've earned my '10 mins of housework' for the challenge! I've not calorie counted at all today (although I do have to have a sneak peek at the cals in everything I eat - it's an obsession!!!). I do think I've eaten quite well though and have been making 'good' food choices, so I should be on track for a loss this week. :)

I just had the most delicious dinner of chicken breast, stuffed with mozzarella and homemade pesto, wrapped in parma ham, with salad, broccoli and homemade tomato and onion chutney. SO GOOD.

Who was it that recommended the Idiot Proof Diet Cookbook? I ordered it and there are a couple of things in it I liked the sound of - particularly the breakfast muffins. Has anyone made them? I wonder if they would freeze well? Also, can you buy stevia in the shops? That's meant to be the best artificial sweetner, right?

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! :)

looks interesting, i might try it

bit of a mixed message here thou

Stevia is forbidden as a food additive in the European Union and some other countries

Oh well this sorts it out, its illegal to sell it :)

Just to be absolutely certain that the UK ban is still in force I have checked with the Food Standards Agency and their response states
"Many sweeteners are not allowed to be imported or sold in the UK. This is because sweeteners and other food additives are tightly regulated within the EU and may only be used once their safety has been rigorously assessed. An example of a sweetener that is not allowed to be imported or sold in the EU is Stevioside, which is also known as Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni . This does not have clearance to be marketed in the EU as it is a high intensity sweetener, 250-300 times sweeter than sucrose."

You may find Stevia advertised for sale - one of our correspondents has recently purchased some via Ebay. In the UK it is not illegal to buy it, but it is illegal to sell it, but please be aware of the possible side-effects if you are tempted to try it. There are many much safer alternatives.
