You probably do have the best figure but you can't see it 25.gif lol. I'm doing good, thanks. Finished Insanity Round 2 but still got my belly 4.gif

I'm now 3 weeks into turbofire. Don't know if it gets harder later on but it's not as intense as Insanity :rotfl:I'm enjoying it though. Planning to workout twice in September if it's doable i.e. do a workout in the morning before work and one in the evening so it'll half the time I'll take to complete the 90 day programme. Anyway, we'll see.

What workout are you planning on starting now? I really wish I could do P90x but really don't want to fork out on equipment e.g. pull-up bar etc etc.

I seriously don't lol. Still have a lot of flab which I'm focusing on getting rid of now lol.

I'm pretty sure there must be some differences that you can't see yet. You should focus on the inches, so every couple of weeks measure your tummy with a measuring tape.

And yeh TurboFire is so much fun and some of the workouts tire you out aswell. That sounds doable especially if it's only going to be the turbofire workouts, but don't tire yourself out unnecessarily, cos sometimes trust me it backfires and you end up wanting to quit altogether.

I'm not sure. Even though i said i was going to do P90x after my holiday, i think i might do a hybrid of Insanity and Insanity: The Asylum. I might incorporate P90x into it aswell just to get that extra muscle boost.

I'm gonna start getting my head straight around food again, and probably start with the exercise mid september as have to fast aswell.

I'll be checking in (and weighing in) but I'm off on me hols for two weeks in the middle of this month so I'll skip the challenges. I'm still at the point of becoming easily demotivated so I don't want to set myself up for something unrealistic.

Still, my aim for the holiday is to STS (i.e. no troughing :rotfl:).

Hi everybody! I'm a newbie and have been having a read for the last couple of days and thought I'd finally post. I've got to the point where I'm really unhappy with my weight and realised I really need to do something about it. My sister is getting married in May and I'm a bridesmaid so ideally I'd like to lose weight for then, I'm sure I could lose weight in 9 months?! I was told earlier by an old colleague that my face had got rounder since the last time she saw me - lovely! :-) Anyway, I'm thinking of joining Slimming World, do you think it's best to have group membership or online, I suppose group has better motivation?

  • Has any one tried the Body for Life Challenge? Apparently the exercise really works wonders. Considering buying the book, just wanted to know if anyones tried it

    HI Vicky,

Welcome! 9 months is a very good time and of course you can do it. May I ask how much you are looking to loose? Joining slimming world and weight watchers is great and good for motivation. x

im up for ben nevis - 30 mins

does sex count as one of the 10? If your on your own and swap arms does that count twice?

No Eric swapping arms doesn't count - and you can only count 10 mins of your tantric sessions - log them under yoga!!
    45 mins boot camp.

Eric - how far did you run - we're logging distance for Ben Nevis this month.

Frodo - I assume you do different exercises for bootcamp? How many did you do or shall I put it down as 1?

I've vowed that I am going to start a new chapter in my life from yesterday: Loose weight, save money and be successful in my career. I started exercising for the first time in over a year yesterday. I'm not going to give up on life's little treats, but I'm sure as hell going to work hard to enjoy them. I've started to walk every morning for an hour (around 3.5 miles) and eat relatively healthy and restrict my calorie intake to 1400 -1500 per day. I want to loose 2 stone by Christmas which I am sure I can. I've done it before, I can do it again. xxx

    Hi Anna, welcome.

Your Journey sounds like mine which started in June and I am now down just shy of 2 stone.

The things which members of this community suggested that really helped me were:

Food and exercise logging on FoodFocus site, it has helped my OCD calorie counting no end, 1417 is a number I will never forget. Thanks to Jess444 for directing me there.

Exercise I have followed the Couch to 5K plan I am now finishing week 7 of 9 and it has revolutionized my relationship with running, Thanks Eric for the original suggestion.

FredSnail of course for the multiple challenges, group competitions and the weekly tables and the group here for their motivational postings.

Finally not something I do, but do consider Eric the high priest of low carb and his advice on carb control and its contribution to weight loss.
