Cherries, really? They are the lowest on the GI scale.
But contain a lot of sugar. As Eric wrote earlier, fructose i.e. fruit sugar is dealt with differently by the body, more like alcohol.
Anyway, as Dr Dukan says which I quoted, nothing is banned absolutely, those items can be included in a 'celebration' meal if desired.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

adding another 27 mins from biggest loser wii workout and 15 mins from dancing around like a crazy lady while cooking dinner earlier. so that is 42 mins to add
Food is really not doing well, made some chocolate dipped shortbread today for the kids, they had a few but mostly i tucked into them! Really got to stop it. dont know what it is though as i can be really good when it comes to not snacking but since the start of the six weeks holidays, i have snacked so much. Cant wait till my eldest goes back to school, maybe i can stop it then.PAD Maker0 -
Hey Everyone,
Frodo - I have the same mindset, I try and fit in big exercise sessions but struggle for time... so end up not doing it! Maybe this challenge will help to get us doing more, 10 mins seems a lot more achievable so I'll probably manage to fit a lot more in... may even do a morning session - I'm such a night owl that morning exercise uaually sounds like a crazy idea, lol!
Your boot camp sounds fab, I could probably do with something like that - just not at 6am!!! I don't know how you manage it!
Welcome back Princess X!!! And congratulations on the amazing weight loss, and body fat%!!! :T
Matryoshka - I would say that each seperate workout could be counted as you are doing a different set of moves each time.
Occy - You're not alone!I calorie count too! I find that calorie counting and low carbing work pretty much the same for me. It may be due to my age (26) or that I have pretty good control of my blood sugars (have tested them a lot with DS1), but I don't find much difference between the two. I do feel a lot better in myself on low carb, but it's not always very practical so tend to find myself switching from one to the other every now and again.
I don't think that the thread is pushing low carb eating, there just seems to be a lot more discussion of it lately. When I started at the beginning of the year, most people were on SW and a lot of the chat was SW related, so I think it is just that low carbing is more popular at the moment.
Well exercise has not really happened over the last couple of days as I've been feeling drained with a really bad cold. I managed a paltry 14 mins, dancing with DS1.
Ooh and I lost almost 3lbs of my holiday gain... I think most of that was blown out of my nose last night :rotfl: (sorry if that was a bit too graphic, lol!). Not feeling as bad tonight so will hopefully get some more exercise in tomorrow, really need to get on with it if I'm going to finish this challenge.0 -
I'm happy to do the challenge for different exercises for 10 mins each day - you'll have to let me know how many you're aiming for in the month and let me know how many you've done.
If anyone wants to do a distance/time one let me know as I know it's difficult for some of us to do different exercises and I'm happy to run 2 exercise challenges for this month.
Any suggestions for the team challenge?0 -
Thanks Lolly, nice to know:).

Thanks for the info. I don't like bananas, and I can live without figs and grapes, but Cherries are my absolute favourite fruit.DFW Nerd 1394.

Lolly I think 10 minute sessions would be far more doable for me, I would be able to fit far more in. I may even be able to fit some in on nites when its a bit quietish (wishful thinking!).DFW Nerd 1394.

I'm away for the rest of the week so can you add me on for 3hrs and -2lb.
I should be able to keep progress going as apparently the conference centre I'm in for the rest of the week has a snazzy gym :TDo you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?
