  • I have to agree with trigirl, I went to uni as a mature student, and I think I put a lot more into it than I would have done fresh out of college.

Yup, I definitely agree with Trigirl and Frodo about working harder when you are older. I (finally) got around to uni when I was 25 and there is no way that I would have put as much effort in had I started at 18.

I've also experienced the effects on your waistline! :( I must have put on at least 2 stone since I started studying! Starting to get it off now, but it is difficult when you spend so much time sat on your bum working!!!

Well done Matryoshka :T The one to one session must be good if it's worth £150.

I wonder what a years supply of Solero is - if you don't have the freezer space feel free to pass some on - yum :D

    THE PRO'S PRO
Who Mark Anthony has 14 years' experience. He's the man responsible for Billie Piper's rock-hard Secret Diary of a Call Girl body: she lost a stone in two weeks.
Star power Claudia Schiffer, Billie Piper.
Where Mark only recently opened the doors to his Notting Hill flagship (until now he has visited his clients at home) but it already feels established. At 9am on a Monday the gym was buzzing with ladies on the treadmills, cross-trainers and Power Plates, each with her own personal trainer (there are 30 in total).
The workout First up was a five-minute run on the treadmill at 9kph to assess my fitness. Next I managed five minutes on the wave machine to strengthen my core muscles. The machine creates the motion of being on water but you ride it in a squatted skiing position; I could feel every muscle in my legs working and after about two minutes I would have given up were it not for Mark's support. We then moved to the airy gym downstairs, bursting with the latest hi-tech equipment. What looked like a medieval torture rack turned out to be a weights machine, on which I managed 12 push-ups, lifting 20kg, which Mark assured me was impressive. My session finished with a tasty berry and protein shake.
The result I felt at ease with Mark; he pushed me in a way that made me feel positive.
Cost £150 an hour for a session with Mark.

  • Well done matryoshka, what a great prize awesome.

Realised I haven't logged my workouts so

    Yesterday 40 mins running

    Today 1.20 cycling

I am now freaking out about my time trial tomorrow. I am in the best shape I have ever been. I personal best is well within me but have a habit of training going awesomely and then getting to the race and choking. Currently my 10 mile best is 27.25 I want a 26.30.

I feel I am putting pressure on myself and working myself up at how gutted I will be if I fail. I guess wanting something badly is one thing, to bring it on race day is another! Please keep em crossed for me folks!
