  • Welcome meersy22!

Well finally movement on the scales. I notice that every time I moan about not losing anything I suddenly get a good result the next day, so I will moan more often! Weighing in at 10.7-and-quarter. That is a 1.25lb loss

As for training can I log 1.35hours for yesterday. Did an hour if interval on the turbo training followed by 35 mins steady high cadence pedalling. The intervals were tough, those who do bikes try this:

    Steady pedalling 2 mins
Up gear slightly to 55% effort for 2 mins
Up gear slightly to 75% effort for 2 mins
All out maximum effort for 2 mins ( should aim to cover a mile, I didn't come close tho)

Repeat until you have completed at least 6 max efforts.

Absolute killer, but seems to work my resting HR is now sitting around 51bpm (I am 32 years old).

Only thing with all this cycling I now have saddle sores on saddles sores, I need to find a better chamois cream!

I have gotna 10 mile time trial on Saturday. I have been working so hard on my cycling I am working myself up about how devastated I will be if I don't put down a Pb, which is 27.25 mins which I did end of last year when I weighed 11 st8.

So if you don't hear from me for a while after Saturday it means I am upset and have gone in my cave to get over it!

    Welcome Indeed Meersy!

Weighing day today, was not sure what to expect, had one day of eat all you can buffet, which I didn't, but probably ate enough to make it a net over calories and one day, the day before, was my regular Friday night take-away which I tried to stay low on but Indian take-away always has too much oil.

Exercise, C25K week 4 complete and into week 5, liking the running a lot... well maybe its the sense of achievement I like. Topped up the exercise with a bit of cycling and walking.

    Anyway...

FS for me -1.5lbs this week, would liked it to be more but 1500 Kcal a day is my limit.

    Morning all

Can I join in this challenge please. I'm such a yoyo dieter and am fed up with it. I now have about a stone to lose (used to be 3) and although i lost it last year i've welcomed it back this year:o

I don't want to go to any clubs (done them all) so after reading your thread I will try low gi. I know myself well enough now to know that if I restrict too much then I will eat all round me.

    Thanks

    Meersy

thats the beauty of low GI if you can stick to it for 2-3 weeks you break the carb addiction cycle and simply stop craving them any more

    and welcome :)

  • Hey all,

Been a while since I posted - need to log a 40 min swim from Monday and a 1hr gym workout from yesterday. Even though I'm tired from shifts, I feel that I need to really drag myself to the gym - it's not so bad once I'm there. :)

Need to weigh in with a 0.5 loss again. Obviously I need to be doing something more to increase the losses a little. Right now, I'm not sure what to do. Not following any particular diet - just trying to eat sensibly...maybe that's my problem.

Dont know how this has happened, but i am reporting a -1lb loss this week. Saturday was my worse day. I finally got my birthday cake of my sister, a giant cupcake with buttercream. Served 10 people, so luckily i only had 1 slice and the rest was shared around. Saturday night was full of alcohol, no fatty late night kebab after tho, i was being a good girl.:o

Have been having more snacks than usual tho, and have hardly done any exercise, other than walking.

Will have to weigh in a day early next week as i am at seaside with my mum and kids next wednesday and wont be taking my wii with me.

Congrats to everyone who has lost or stayed the same this week.

  • It's a 1.4lb loss for me this week.

Fred I can't count so instead of losing 2.4lbs last week I actually lost 2.6lbs, so including my loss this week I should be at a total of 54.4lbs lost, I think.

Confessions for last week - a big slab of mum's birthday cake that I didn't even enjoy, and a night out consisting of 6 bottles of wine, and several gin and tonics split between the three of us. Pretty sure there was some 4am snacking as well. I never really go out much, so this kind of self destructive madness only happens a couple times a year. I turn 25 in two months, maybe I'll be more sensible then :p

I'm 1.6lbs away from losing 4 stone! I want to have lost 5 stone by 17th October, and I want to be back into my jeans from last time I lost weight. I'm not sure what my Christmas target should be - I might only set it at another stone, so 6 stone by xmas? That would give me two and a bit months to lose another stone, and I always slow down a lot in winter.

I wonder if any of it is do able. I wake up every day expecting myself to give up, I feel like it's waiting for the inevitable - I don't want to have confidence in myself to just watch me give up again, it is very disappointing. I guess I feel like I don't have much control over myself....

    ANYWAY.

Hope everyone is getting on ok! I'm still LOVING the full fat greek yogurt - had one for breakfast :D

    Hey Everyone,

Congratulations Eric! So close now!!! :T

    Welcome Meersy! :j

    Well it's a 1lb loss this week :)
Pleased with that as I've been sat on my bum for the last few days trying to get this work done (finished now! :j), and didn't eat V.well this weekend.

Hoping I'll have at least an STS if not a mini loss the next time I weigh in (2 weeks time, although may weigh in when we get back at the end of next week).

Congratulations to everyone else who lost :T, and good luck those who haven't weighed in yet :)
