  • Nice stuff.
I think losing weight is complicated depending on need to lose. The best solution is to eat all healthy foods in moderate portions. In that I mean do not gorge yourself and feel too full. Measure your portions as per the food guide. It really does help.

    2nd day Turbofire

    Hiit 15 minutes
    Stretch 10 minutes

    Total: 25 minutes

My initial reaction to a 15 minute workout was "Pah"! but hiit (High Intensity Interval Training) was really good. My only complaint is not being able to follow the moves as it was fast but the often I do the DVDs, I'll master the moves :D:D

    Verdict: I'm happy :j

  • Well I did 2 hours 10 cycling yesterday. Got my commute down from 2.30hrs (total) so pleased with that. Weight is rubbish, STS for 2 weeks now. I guess the last half stone is the hardest but not sure what else I can do! Maybe this is my plateau?

Well, I was paying nearly £10 a month to www.weightlossresources.co.uk and I'd been doing that over the last 2-3 years. I've paid for Dukan over 3 months on my credit card. If it works it will be money well spent.

Yes, apparently the coconut yogurts are OK, also the lemon ones. Fruit flavour is OK but not fruit.

Be prepared for this not being a 'quick fix', which some people think it is. It's 3 weeks since I started, 2 days on Attack phase and now on Cruise phase. I've lost 1.7 kg since I started, which is 3 3/4 pounds. This is not a diet where the 'weight falls off you' but it DOES work.

DH can't do it because he is insulin-dependent, but he has been cutting down on carbs since I started. He used the last potato we had in the house some days ago and says he won't buy any more. Eating less carbs, he's using less insulin and getting better control of his blood glucose, so it's good for both of us.

Thanks again. I read the attack phase again and for some odd reason coconut and lemon yoghurts hadn't registered in my brain! lol

I plucked up courage and made the oatbran galette this morning, made them like very thin small pancakes, put some smoked salmon in and rolled. Took a bite  and was very surprised at how nice they really are!! I got five out of the mixture. Ate three got two to eat sometime later today. Going to put vanilla essence in the next lot and cinnamon. Haven't got any sweetener for cooking - trying to make do without!

I actually enjoy eating the protein, suits me very much :).
  • Beanie -did you say you had lost nearly 2 stone - well done!:j

Fred, I think the time has come for me to come off the chart, after 4 years!!!! I am just constantly maintaining now, at around 2 stone less than when I started, so seem to have found a happy balance with what I am eating. Thanks for all your continued hard work
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I use Splenda for sweetening. I also bought a new electric hand-held mixer at the weekend so that I can whisk up the egg white separately. My oat bran galette that I just had for tea came out very fluffy and delicious.

I read in a fitness magazine that Chocolate cravings are a sign of a magnesium deficiency and this is why most women crave it during/before their period as the body becomes depleted during that time. It also went on to say that exercise depletes the body of this and we need a supplement.

Do y'all concur and if yes, what supplement would you recommend? During that time of the month, I crave sweet things badly
