Another fab little gym session today. Two rounds of weights, with a bit of cardio in the middle. Its funny how i have a new found happiness for the gym after joining one in crawley!
Hopefully i will start to notice a difference soon.0 -
2lbs off (1lbs last week and 1lb this week) so back down to my target weight again! Woo hoo!
I am trying to stick to some ideas for maintenance (which I always find VERY hard!)
Do not eat standing up. Sit at the table and put it on a plate (even if it's only and apple or a biscuit)
Check if you are hungry before eating or whether something else is triggering your eating, e.g bad day at work triggering comfort eating.
If you eat too much one day, you haven't "blown it" just eat sensibly the next day.
If anyone else has any hints and tips, I would love to hear them!0 -
2 miles on the bike today :j

If like me, you are a low carber and (as happened to me today) you are presented with nothing but sandwiches for lunch, take off the top slice of bread to instantly reduce the carb count. Also go for wholemeal rather than white bread sandwiches, for slower carb release.0

Just wondering if anyone would mind giving me advice on exercise DVDs - which ones do people prefer or find most effective? Spotted those 10 Minute Solution ones, has anyone used them?
I tried this today. The one I have is called: 10 minute solution. Best of 10 minute solution.
It has Pilates, Arms & shoulders, Fat burning blast, belly fat blaster and yoga for flexibility.
You can either choose the one you want to do or press Play All. I pressed Play All as thought it'd be ridiculous to just do a 10 minute workout :rotfl:
Anyway, can I just say that "It works"! I'm quite surprised as thought it would be rubbish as I have done Insanity and Turbofire so wondered what on else this could contribute. My heart got a good pounding :rotfl:
The entire DVD is about 55 minutes long and because the workout is varied, it's not boring at all. I thought the Fat Burning Blast was the one that got me pumping the most but I liked the order the workouts were in. Start with Pilates to stretch your body, then do cardio, and finally finish off with Yoga.
I'll be doing the DVD this week then start Insanity (again) next week :eek:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Hey Everyone,
Really getting back into exercise now. I usually struggle to get into a routine, so very pleased at the moment. I also resisted a take away this weekend (which has been slowly turning into a weekly routine
). My foot's been playing up a bit though. I'm usually OK at the time, but start to feel it for a day or so afterwards (which means it's hurting pretty much every day at the mo!). Getting quite annoyed with it as it happened over a month ago now
, they did say 4-6 weeks though so hopefully not too much longer
.

Hi all
Fred - I've walked another 2km towards Paris today, and I'm reporting in with another 1lb loss.
Busy day tomorrow - pilates in the morning then a walk along the beach to have lunch at our favourite cafe, then back to do line dancing in the afternoon.
Have a good week everyone.
