Cycled to the pool this morning for a swim. Not a great idea after bootcamp yesterday - legs feel like jelly. No aches and pains though, must be gettinng fitter!
  • Have been really good during the day, had porridge and 2 slices of granary toast, lunch was roast beef and rice with green beans, baby spinach, coleslaw and beetroot was delicious, not too much beef or rice, more veg than anything, drank mint tea in between, but came home after having a walk and doing some work and i ate a ken homs crispy beef and some steamed rice, it was the last meal in the fridge as ironically the freezer is full of weight watcher ready meals lol, so no space to freeze. the ken hom use by date was today, it was nice but about 700 cals for it all.

Never mind, i have my tuesday, zumba and kick boxing lessons tomorrow, so that will be good, more beef, rice and veg tomorrow, determined to do well after my 1lb gain last week.

Hope everybody is well, i find when i post here regularly, i do so much better, so i'm back :)

I'd like to join in the Paris challenge, although I'm not quite sure how it works. Do I report in how many miles I walk? Can I count miles cycled?

Yes you can count miles cycles, walked, swam etc just log them and post them and I'll put them on the chart for you.

I have just downloaded the couch to 5k NHS podcast, and I'm excited to get going! Has anyone else tried this or similar programmes? How did you find it?

I also can't really figure out a running route, my area is quite hilly - and it's dark in the evenings, so considering putting it off for a bit, but at the same time, if it's dark no one can see me huffing and puffing about the place with all my wobbly bits trying to break free

Considering I can only run for about 2 minutes at the moment, I think this is going to be a real challenge!

I wouldn't mind trying the couch to 5k thing. I want to run the breast cancer thing (forgotten its name) I did it the year before last and struggled to heck! I was the last to finish out of my friends too. This year my friends mum and aunt have both had/suffering breast cancer, so i feel more of a pull to do it for my friend.

Maybe if enough people were up for it we could start a little 5k group to spur each other on?

I've been interested in this but haven't been able to get started for one reason or another.

Occy - do you think it would be possible to do this running indoors - I know that sounds strange but I exercise early hours at night and would prefer not to do it outside.

Hi Fred - can you count me in for the 5lb challenge too please, and I've walked 2km today.

Weigh in was this morning and I've lost 1lb.

    Have a good week everyone.

  • Hi Fredsnail, I only have 45 mins Bootcamp to report for Friday because I dont think I posted it, sorry.

Can I participate in the Paris Challange please? I will aim for 1/10 which I think is 21.3 miles, by treadmill and swim. I am having a few weeks off Bootcamp now due to the very cold weather (I know I'm a wimp, I just don't do cold!).

Please put me down for the Oscars in Brad Pitts team (cos he's fit) and I will attemt yet again the 5lb challange, and this month I will achieve it, I will, I will, I will ......
