    Hey all!

Just a quick hello, thanks Fred for including me, just to confirm STS this week as reported on the chart.

seems the way it is for me is to stay controlled during the week but splurge at weekends, I gain about 2 lbs but it quickly comes off when I get stricter.

Good job every one, keep up the good work!

Thanks Everyone :) Don't worry Frodo, you haven't scared me.... much! lol.
Think I will head in at some point, might not be able to make it until monday, but I'll definitely go. It's quite tender and is a little swollen, the pain is quite bad in a morning and is worse if I just stand up normally (I have to walk on the inside of my foot until I get used to it every day :o). It's not too bad later on when I get used to it though - not sure what that means? Oh, and I have to walk sideways down stairs with both feet on each step before moving to the next one, lol. Fingers crossed I've not broken anything, but two weeks seems a long time for anything else to still be hurting, iykwim.

    Hey Vix! :)

I can't, got plans tonight. Could proabably make it on sun, but can imagine having to wait all day as they will be busy dealing with saturday night's drunken antics and accidents! (like mine was, lol).

I am trying to keep my weight off it as much as possible now, should probably make more of an effort to get it checked out though :o. If I don't go sun, I definitely will mon :). No dancing or silly shoes for me this weekend... :A lol.

    Hi all :)

Hope everyone's had a good day.

I gave myself a bit of a shock tonight - I'd planned to have home-made chicken burgers for dinner, and I'd worked out the WW points, but when I started preparing, I hadn't got all the ingredients so I had a quick change of plan and put 2 spuds in the oven to bake.

We had them with baked beans and cheese, but it cost me 22 points! It would have been free food on SW if I'd counted the cheese as a healthy extra, so I was pretty shocked they came out so high.

I was looking forward to a glass of wine tonight too, but I haven't got any points left. :(

    More advance planning needed!

I bought this at Sainsburys the other night - http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/sport_and_leisure/healthfitness/121258104_kettlenetics_slim_and_tone_kit.html?hnav=4294903401 - it's a 4lb kettlebell with 2 dvds that have 3 workouts over the 2 of them - 70% off, so really good value. They also had exercise steps reduced from £29.99 to £11.99, hula hoops half price and a whole load of other work out stuff cheap.

I did the first dvd earlier today - it says that there are 3 workouts over the 2 discs, but that's not really true. On the first disc there's a 20 minute intro which teaches you how to do all of the moves with the proper form etc. Then there's a 20 minute basics workout, which is apparently for beginners but I worked up quite a sweat! It was fun and dancy, and it is very pleasing to be swinging a 4lb chunk of metal about the place.

On the second disc there is a 40 minute slightly more advanced work out, which the dvd assures me is still a lot of fun. I was done after the first work out, but I'll try this one next week.

So far, I'd definitely recommend the set, especially for the Sainsburys sale price (I wouldn't be paying £34.99 for it). It's fun and you definitely get a good workout. The only negative I have for the 20 minute workout is that there is not really enough of a cool down, so you need to finish stretching on your own.

I think maybe someone else on here has this, but I can't remember who...

I have the DVD WoT and really like it - I use KB quite a bit at Bootcamp. Find the one given with the DVD a nice weight for me, but the handle is a bit small (I do have big hands though) I think Fred recommended it to me. Do you still use it Fred?

Lolly - hope you find time to get your foot checked out. I did the same as you a few years ago when I accidentally stubbed my toe. I am sure I broke both my toe and a bone in my foot, but basically ignored it :o It took at least 6 months for the pain to ease off and I am sure it was because I didn't get it treated. Still get the odd twinge now.

Lois - Line dancing sounds great. Must check if there are any classes nearby.

Fred - just 2 miles on the eliptical for me today.

    Morning

Well done to everybody who is making progress during the January doldrums...

I woke up feeling a bit more motivated this morning and am going to try and do 120 stairs today so I will have less than 1000 left. I could still make the top couldn't I :D?!

I have loads of Boots weighing slips pinned to my notice board and yesterday I sorted them all out to find, despite a few ups and downs, I have lost a total of only 5lb since Feb 2010. Time to stop faffing about. I'm not getting bigger but that's not good enough.

So, another little motivational speech and off I go again...
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

Thanks Jess :) I'm going to go tomorrow, I really don't want it dragging on as I can see my weight loss going down the pan. My diet isn't always perfect (and probably never will be :o) so I really do need to exercise to keep losing.
