Thanks for the welcome - hi Beanie and Fred - Superman says hi too! :D

What's the deal with the exercise, is it a challenge?

I've taken up linedancing and go 3 times a week, it's exercise and fun at the same time. I also do aquacise on Fridays and have at least one session of swimming every week. And we walk to a club 2 or 3 times a week which is 1km away.

Last week I earned 72 activity points on WW because we did a 3 hour walk along the coastal path as well as the above! I don't use the activity points though, I'm trying to keep to my daily allowance as much as I can.

WW do a plan called Filling & Healthy, which allows you to eat as much as you need of certain foods without weighing them, a bit like SW. If we're going out to eat I do a F&H day and I'm careful what I have, but it's a bit more flexible.

What plans are you all following?

Same here!! I did the DVD last Wednesday and was still in pain 3 days later... ouch! However, I finally convinced myself to try again yesterday and I'm much better this time around so much so that I'm doing it again tonight :p

By the way - what kg weights do people use with these types of DVDs? I've just ordered a 0.5kg, 1kg, 1.5kg pack which I thought would be suitable, but the people on grabbit boards are just laughing??

I have 2 1.5kg weights, so works out as 3kg all together.

why the hell were they laughing? its completely up to you what you feel comfy with and what you can manage.

There's 2 challenges people can join in now each month - one is an exercise and the other is a team weight loss one.

This month we're climbing from Everest base camp to the summit using steps or other methods.:j:j:j

  • Evening everyone :D

I am happily reporting a 3LB LossThis week Thanks Fred :A

    Also I'd like to add
    290 sets of Home Stairs
    35 sets of Work Stairs
Which I make a total height of 6892.5 on my chart :D Hope you agree Fred ?
Still a long way to go but I'm getting there slowly

I am also doing my best on my new year resolution to drink more water daily. So I am trying to drink at least 2 litres a day at work and not drinking any other drinks. It is really hard sometimes as I would love a nice coffee but I know my health will benefit from the hydration.

Hi and welcome back Lois - Sorry you have managed to put weight back on but you have come back to the right place to help get it off :D

Mandz - Isn't there a button on the TV that allows you to swap channels without the remote ?

Well done on the losses this week everyone :T
And to my fellow Everest Climbers - Half way through and hot chocolate at the top I believe so last one there brings the marshmallow's :rotfl:
    Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Need to loose 25lb / 3lb lost so far :(

    Heys guys!

Well what a day i've had! started off with me thinking this morning,oh this is the first day in weeks, i have come straight home from work, without detouring to do some mystery shopping/auditing or the other, to get a text this morning with the offer of a ton to do a bit of work this evening! won't be complaining although i am really tired, i'm really happy.will explain why.

Had for brekkie, 2 slices granary toast with marg and also had 2 handfuls of grapes, lunch i had a bowl of ncg soup of the month soup,i love their chicken soup normally, this one is for chinese new year, creamed corn and fresh chicken with spring onions, it's on special at the mo in sains for £1, tried it yesterday, loved it and bought 2 more. half a carton and 2 small slices of crusty bread, one brown, one white, as an afternoon snack i had plain fat free yogurt with some stewed apples, pears and prunes, i did at weekend,so glad i had that!, did my work straight after my full time job, it was near china town, so i passed loads of chinese buffets, really wished i had stopped to have a dish, but glad i didnt give in, smelt so good and i walked past 30, did end up walking for 2 miles, around in a big square getting the jobs done, decided i better have a sandwich as wouldnt be in until late and wouldnt have a chance to have dinner or it would be directly before bedtime, i like to digest my food, so had a chicken and sweetcorn sandwich from co op, only 275 calories and that was it, oh have had 3 glasses of light ribena, 5 cals per glass.

So really pleased i resisted and did all that walking!
