Lose Weight 34

I'm new. I would love to join your Base Camp challenge? What do I need to do? I'm in England, but will happily join the Scottish team if they're short.
I've got lots to lose and have just joine WW with Quidco cashback. I am a yo-yo dieter who has done every sort, at least twice. Hoping this time will be better - portions are a big issue for me.I posted back in a previous weight loss thread (26th July 2011) about some mystery weight loss that was bugging me. Well I went to go get it checked out as suggested and it turned out that I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Or cancer to put it a more blunt way!
Glad I went now! Currently 3 more doses of chemotherapy to go out of the 12!
As for weight loss...well I lost pretty much bang-on 2 stone. I've since put about 1 and a half stone of that back on...so a net loss of 7lbs or so! Does that count?! Probably not...
DD has chemo - the steroids mean she gains weight even when she's hardly eating. It's really tough. Good luck with the rest of your treatment.0 -

I have cleverly read back from this page and worked out that the Everset challenge is either height or distance.
Does anyone combine?
How far is the distance if I do it on a crosstrainer?
Thanks.
And sorry for all the questions - over keen0 -

So glad that you had this checked out.
Yes of course the 7 lbs counts.
Glad that you only have 3 chemo's to go.

mumto2~welcome to you.
Hope your DD is getting benefits from her treatment.
She has leukaemia. They go into remission (or should do otherwise they have to try more aggressive treatment) after the first month, but the next 2.1 years for a girl are spent having chemo to keep it away. If they don't have maintenance chemo, it comes back. So far, she's okay, but it is very hard going and she's had to go to hospital with infections a few times - hence my stress eating! Thanks.

Thanks I willalliwantistosave wrote: »Thanks for doing the charts Fred
I have a little discrepancy with the everest chart, according to my Chart I have completed 2244 ft & 19.8%
I'm not sure if you added my 190 x home stairs on tuesday ?
I hope that makes a little senseI put your stairs as 8.5 and 10.5 inches rather than feet
:o:o:o
I've amended the Everest chart now and changed it in the chart post.
I've also added columns to show the number of climbs you've done so you can let me know if I miss something.0 -
I'm back (never really went away, I have been reading and lurking!) I put on 4lbs over the festive season, despite my best intentions to exercise restraint
the home made mince pies were just too good to resist!
I have found it really hard to get back to strict low carbing - keep having a sly chocolate. I very slim colleague at work always brings in her left over chocolates and biscuits into the office - so she stays slim but tempts everyone else!
DH is away for a couple of days, so I will be less tempted and aim to start to undue the damage.
Damn! I really thought that I had my eating under control!0 -
During the days i think i'm struggling, however, looking back on what i've eaten, even if i have snacks, i seem to be doing ok, think i've managed to nearly half my calories by cutting my carbs down, and upping the exercise!
Fred please can you add 80 flights of stairs to my total, and if any teams need evening out add me there also.
Thank you5lb monthly challenge 0/120 -
No challenges for me this month please as I'm going on holiday next week for my birthday
and I can't see myself turning down all that lovely beer Budapest has to offer!
Best foot forward everyone, has anyone got any healthy New Year's resolutions they're prepared to go public with? Mine is to drink water with meals instead of Pepsi Max!
xxx
Hope you have a great time!Ooh, and I'm not sure that it's entirely appropriate for a weight loss thread, but... :bdaycake: Happy Birthday for next week!
My resolutions are simply - 'Stop eating carp. Start moving more' lol.alliwantistosave wrote: »Lolly - Thanks for putting me off takeaway for life
Lol, You're welcome! It's certainly put me off!!!
Lolly- i dont find 10 flights easy, by 5 i want to stop, but i'm half way... by 7.. its only 3 more... by 9 i wont let it beat me... even though that last flight takes twice as long!
That is a great way of thinking about it. May have to try thatI posted back in a previous weight loss thread (26th July 2011) about some mystery weight loss that was bugging me. FRED - Sorry to be a pain, but my Everest flights aren't right. I'd done 104 yesterday. Adding another 66 today so my total is now 170
