    Hey guys

I have had no sleep since 1pm yesterday, but im suprising chirpy! feeling well pleased with myself, heres why.

Since i didnt get any sleep, left the house early enough for my walk which took 30 mins, this included checking my account with 2 different cards at cash machine and taking out cash, then getting my weekly bus pass, so at least 3 mins for that lot, not the 35 mins i first expected, but 27 minutes.

i had 2 frubes 3/4 of an apple as there were loads of bruises and a clementine for brekkie at work.

For lunch i had slow cooker chilli one corn wrap and one normal, plain.

For dinner i have just had nandos, it was an MS so free :) but the great thing was, i would usually have chips, chicken and apple juice, instead i went for a chicken breast burger no extras and a sweetcorn, with milk as the drink, odd combo but im full and dont feel bad for not having chips, i would have reasoned that it was oven cooked so o.k, but No :)

Oh yes and i took the stairs at work so did 19 steps twice and 28 steps once, yes i was counting! gonna do my 120 situps when my food has settled,

It may not be much but i never ever take the stairs and will take the lift one floor up or down, so to do this im happy, the scores up top were going up only, i obviously went down too, not loads of exercise but more than i have been doing.

Lolly101, thanks hun, its reading all you guys posts that inspiring me, as well as the image of my x poking his phone with gloved hand at my belly, in the middle of the busy highstreet 4:30am nyd.

Thinking about my sit ups, next week i'm going to add 10 to each set i do 3 different types 20 of each, this has worked really well for me in the past when i could do 200 in total, so hoping to get back to that, plus i turn 30 in july gulp, so want to turn 30 and FAB!

Don't beat yourself up - you will get back on track very soon.

I do have your stair measurements from last time - 8.5 feet for home stairs and 10.5 feet for work stairs - please let me know if those are wrong.

Yes you can include your rock climbing too.

Will add you to 5lb challenge - but will keep you at the bottom for Jan - if you've not lost the 9lb then I'll move you up.

Thanks Fred I didn't weigh today as I did yesterday and will on a tuesday morning from now on. So if you can count my gain as this weeks weigh in and I will hope to loose 5lb of that this month (fingers crossed) ;)

Ok so here is my stairs so far ..... would it better daily or weekly (I can't remember what we did last time) Yes the measurements you have are still correct :) And I also included tonight's climbs and converted the height into home stairs ( i'm getting good at spreadsheets now :rotfl:)

    1/1/12 - 5x home
    2/1/12 - 8x home 2x work
    3/1/12 - 190 x home 5x work
    4/1/12 - 40 x home 10x work

Hopefully back to running tomorrow as long as my knee doesn't swell from climbing tonight. But I need to do more exercise so if it is bad I will find my old davina DVD instead I think.

Frodo - I know exactly what you mean - my will power is missing presumed lost but I have sent out a search party ;)

Ms_night_ryder - Well done on the Nandos, that is one place I couldn't go right now with my lack of will power.

    Cabby - welcome back

Lolly - Thanks for putting me off takeaway for life :D

Jess - hope your back is better soon

Well done on the Losses :T
For the gainers like me - may all this weeks gains be next weeks loss :)

You can post it when ever it's convenient for you - I'll pick it up and log it - but I will ask that people don't go back and edit posts to amend totals because there is a chance I will have already logged the original details and then I won't see the edited total.

    :T

    Chart is underway :)

Here's this weeks brand new sparkly chart :j:

    4Jan2012.jpg

    Congrats to our SoTW Cazwishes.

Well done to the losers and STSers this week and commiserations to all of us gainers. Let's draw a line under the festivities and get back to our normal determination as soon as we can and we will continue the downward trend :D

    Here's this weeks Everest Chart:

    Everest4Jan2012.jpg

Well done to everyone taking part - I'm sure that there will be a few spectators at the top with the kettle on for us climbers (or something stronger!!).

If anyone wants to join in either the climb or equivalent distance please post below and I'll add you in when you start to log your climbs or distances.

Here's this months teams for the home countries challenge - sadly Ireland has no members, and Wales and Scotland have 1 each. If anyone would like to join this challenge and help even out the numbers please post below and I'll add you to the team - you don't need to do anything for the team challenge - I use your weekly weight loss to calculate the winning team at the end of the month. I will however need your starting weight - you can pm me in total confidence.

This weeks quote is from Thomas D. Willhite
"YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU. Assuming a responsibility means changing a wrong into a right. In other words, if the way you feel is not right, then assuming responsibility means changing it."

If anyone finds any errors on the charts or I've missed something please let me know :j:j

  • Thanks for doing the charts Fred

I have a little discrepancy with the everest chart, according to my Chart I have completed 2244 ft & 19.8%
I'm not sure if you added my 190 x home stairs on tuesday ?
I hope that makes a little sense :)

  • :j Well that was a good start to the day, certainly wasn't expecting that!
But i also realise that many others who have been on their plans longer, are only just getting back to normal and into their stride ( kids in school, back to work etc) so i just hope i can still stay focused!

Lolly- i dont find 10 flights easy, by 5 i want to stop, but i'm half way... by 7.. its only 3 more... by 9 i wont let it beat me... even though that last flight takes twice as long!

Jess- thanks for the info on exercise.. i know if i'm not careful, i'll soon get obsessed with watching the scales.. something to try avoid!

Frodo- i'm finding i need to snack mostly during the afternoon, i noticed twice this week i put stuff in my mouth before i even realised what i was doing!
However, i've cut down so much, and simplified meals to basics atm, so it means i can snack and i'm still well within my calories... i need to maybe look at adding those into meals to fill me up, as opposed to having them as a 'bad' snack.

ms_night-ryder- i have no idea how you do 120 sit ups!!! the thought of doing 10, let alone managing to do 10 is a struggle! Well done on doing those every day!

I posted back in a previous weight loss thread (26th July 2011) about some mystery weight loss that was bugging me. Well I went to go get it checked out as suggested and it turned out that I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Or cancer to put it a more blunt way!

Glad I went now! Currently 3 more doses of chemotherapy to go out of the 12!
As for weight loss...well I lost pretty much bang-on 2 stone. I've since put about 1 and a half stone of that back on...so a net loss of 7lbs or so! Does that count?! Probably not...
