  • Morning all, went b oots and weighed myself, i was shocked i'm 21.6, i was way under a month ago, i am on, s may be a little water retention, chomping on a apple as we speak, i'm fully on this and will be going to boots to weigh myself wearing the same clothes, gonna do it on a sunday morning from now on.

Got some ham soup in the sc, that will do for lunches this week with a wrap, as they need using, just the plain wrap to dip into soup, got enchiladas for dinner, will be skimping on the cheese, have half fat mozerella that needs using.

On the exercise front, got up to go for a jog, done about 2 mins and gave up! lol but i have now done 60 sit ups as want to get my belly down and will have a workout on the wii later, back to work tomorrow so wll be back in a routine.

    Hey Everyone,

Takeaway was delicious :o, lol. Good job it was as I woke up 5lbs heavier than I was yesterday  I know it won't last, but it's not the nicest start, lol.
I've made a start on Everest, will update tonight. I can't for the life of me work out how many flights I need to do in total (brain's still fuzzy from new year, lol!). I remember it being about 43 a day last time. Can someone help me out please? My stairs are 100 inches.

43.83 times per day is what you'll have to do.

We're climbing from Base camp (which is at 17,700 ft) to the summit 29,028 ft which is a total of 11,328 ft.

Thanks Fred. :D So that's 1359 (I think?) over the month. Was just thinking that it would make life easier for me to just have the number of flights in my siggy rather than the height in ft, as then I can just add the extra on each day rather than having to convert it all each time.

... Ahh, so that's why I couldn't work it out! I thought we were doing the full 29,028!

Yes 1359.36 to be exact (though please don't ask me to calculate how many extra stairs the .36 is :rotfl:).

If you prefer you can do the full 29,028 which would be 3483.36 climbs which is just over 112 climbs per day :p

    Hi Fred,

I have decided to join in with the Everest Challenge if that's OK. My stairs are 7 inches high and I have 13 so if my calculations are right that is 91 inches.

Could you let me know how many flights I have to do to reach the summit and I will make a start tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Jess
  • Went back to bootcamp this morning, it was the first one in a few weeks. Really stating to feel the ache now. Its scarey how quick you lose fitness levels when you miss regular exercise for a bit.
