  • I'll sign up to the 5lb challenge, the advent challenge and the mileage challenge - 26 miles I believe!

I'll be in the Rudolph team.

I shall PM you my address for the advent challenge now.
  • +1lb gain for me this week. Not a happy bunny! In my defence I did get weighed in the evening yesterday, and in the morning last week so I'm hoping this is not a true picture as I have been relatively good overall.

However I have lost roughly 1 and a half stone, and although I have maintained this for the last 2 months I have not managed to shift anymore. Really must try much harder.

Thanks for all your hard work Fred Snail. Could you please put me in the Snowmen/women team and for the 5lb challange please? I am going to make a really determined effort this month to achieve it and get out of the rut I'm in.

Well done everyone on your weight losses and increased exercise.:T:T:T

Frodobaggins, if you weigh in the evening you can easily weigh 1 or 2 pounds more than in the morning. Your evening weight will never be the same as your morning weight, always more. I thought you knew that?

I thought so but I still feel really disappointed with it.:(

    Welcome to the newbies :j

Minnie - I've moved you to the maintenance section - you can post as often as you want I'll continue to add it on.

Frodo - don't worry too much - it will even out over time and you've done so well.

Good luck to everyone with parties etc over the next few weeks - you can still enjoy yourselves and be good.

    Hi

Bit of a glitch on the advent calendar front as google services (I think it was called) does not work with 'ntlworld' email addresses. I used to have a yahoo email which I might try if I can find it or make a new one otherwise I will just do my own version!
Day 1 I did the heel raises, day 2 I walked to town and back but I need to go and do something for today - I'll go and do the abdominal section of my trusty Davina DVD. Now. ETA - did it.

Hope everybody is having a good weekend.

ETA I've realised this is a bit confusing for the exercise charts so you can leave me out this month. As long as I do something everyday and post that I've done it I'm happy!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

I can email you the spreadsheet if you want so you can do it on your own spreadsheet - no cheating with the days though!!

DH has just got down to 99.8 kg this morning. First time he's been below 100 for goodness only knows when. He's using less insulin since we've both been eating a lot less carbs, since I started the Dukan Diet end of July he said he wouldn't buy any more potatoes and he hasn't.

I'm still hovering at 66.9 kg but at present am happy to be below 67.

After church yesterday we decided to go out for lunch, to a new restaurant. Well, actually, it's now called Grand Central and is in the same building as one we went to a few weeks back when it was called the Outback Steakhouse. This went bust, sacked all its staff, now taken over by a new company and completely refurbished with an American railway theme. We thought we'd give it a try. On most menus there's not a lot I can eat, but at least, steak is always good. I had 8 oz fillet steak with vegetables and mushroom gravy. Very nice. Only - the young waiter either didn't listen, didn't hear or chose to ignore when I said '...and NO chips!' Plate came with chips, I sent it back, got it back minus chips. We decided to have pudding, usually we don't, but I chose lemon meringue pie (haven't had it for ages!!!), no cream, no ice cream. It was a very nice meal, expensive for what it was, we shan't go there very often, but it was one of the few places round about that wasn't decked out in 'seasonal' gear and we were curious to see what it was like. We'd been to the Outback Steakhouse and we liked it.

We really didn't want anything else to eat all day. In fact, we didn't. All I had, the rest of the day, was a yoplait Perle de Lait yogurt. A large chunk of steak took some digesting and kept me feeling not hungry for many hours.

Good morning, it sounds like you had a lovely Sunday.

I spent Sunday spoiling my Goddaughter, she is only 16 weeks and such a good baby.

This morning I went for a run, only 10 mins, I'm not much of a runner it doesn't come naturally to me. I've noticed lately I'm becoming very wheezy after a run, this morning was the worst by far. I've made an appointment with the doctors. There is a medicine you can get that opens your airways (I've had it before).

Can you add on 4.5 miles please

    Hey Everyone,

It's my birthday today! :j Had a crazy night out on sat (was an all nighter!). My friends laid on a buffet with cocktails before we went, I had a sneaky sandwich before I went so I wouldn't eat too much, lol - It worked, and I'm pretty happy with how I handled it. There was probably a lot of sugar in the cocktails, but there was a lot of dancing involved too, so that would have helped minimise the damage!

Not been keeping up with the challenge so will catch up over the next couple of days. Weighed in this morning (after a yogurt and drink though as I forgot) and I'm the same weight I was last week (maybe even slightly less if you account for the yogurt and drink!) so I'm pretty happy about that! This month, maintaining is my aim - losing would be great, but I would rather enjoy this month (so many birthdays and things in Dec, plus Xmas!) and start again in Jan.
I'd rather not start Jan 10 lbs heavier (which is easily done, for me anyway!), so still need to keep up with things - just being able let myself off every now and again :).
