Phew, I decided to try out my new step thingy on the Wii free step programme... it really does make a huge difference. I only did 15 minutes but was going at a good pace (1628 steps!), and I'm knackered now, lol! Hopefully I'll get a good night's sleep tonight :).

I've got my eye on one too - was looking at the Mel B one (on Amazon). I'd love to hear how it works for you Lolly.

    Hey all

FS please add 30 mins running to this months challenge.

My body fat% according to scales is either 22% or 13% based on settings used  This does not help....

According to http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/ my body fat is 16.67% however if I put in my starting dimensions it had 21% so I have lost 14 lbs of fat on my diet but 29lbs of muscle...

    good grief

  • Sorry Fred Snail my weight is wrong. At last weigh in I had a total weight loss of 21.5lbs.

I think I may have caused the confusion because I weigh in on a Thursday or Friday.

All your hard work is much appreciated FS. :T

Fred and Angry Bear - I got this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003JH84HC although it seems to be sold out at the moment. It cost £9 ish and makes the board just over 5" tall, which doesn't seem much, but you can really feel a difference once you get into it! They are also really sturdy so I wasn't worried about it toppling over if I went too fast, lol. I'd definitely recommend them! :D

Eric is a big fan of Bod Pods http://www.cosmed.com/bodpodgs they are supposed to be the best and most accurate way to test body fat, muscle, and whatever else. I think they are about £25-30 a session but are well worth doing.

I think DEXA scans are more accurate than bod pods (and also more expensive aswell!) I want to get a DEXA scan soon as the scales are not accurate at all for BF% and muscle (even the ones with the hand grip things). I just use mine to check bodyfat improvements though I always take into consideration that it wont be correct at all.
