Well! I find myself scratching my head a bit here, grateful for any insight.

Am +1lb again this week - yet according to the scale my body fat has decreased over the past week from 52% to 45.7%, which seems a huge drop to me. Is this fat turning to muscle, or simply wonky scales?

Help! I don't know whether to laugh or cry :o

wonky scales, you had a big poo or how you are using them

eating, exercise, drinking fluid and salt intake all drastically affect these scales

cheaper ones are very inaccurate as well, as are the ones that are feet only

    Hello

Can someone remind me what the Weigh Day is again???

I get weighed every Monday Morning (think I forgot to post last week;)) but Fred STS for me again!!!

I jet off to Florida in a fortnight on Tuesday :T. Am carrying excess baggage of a tyre around my middle!!!

On a plus note, its not getting any bigger (thank God!)

I will have access to a computer while on my hols, so should be able to continue to post.

Been a bit busy this week, I think my boiler is about to throw in the towel!!! (Arghhh) IT NEVER ENDS!

Getting BG round next week for a free quote to give me an idea of how much (and I know it will be lottery sum!)

    Keep up the good work.

    xx

    Morning

Did another 2 kms yesterday so total is now 19 kms.

The dieting is still going fine though the odd extra bowl of noodles is creeping in....I think this is not so bad if it stops worse things happening but probably it should stop. Resolution for the week - it will stop.

What I would love to achieve is a mentality where I am not tempted by food. I want to have a functional, unemotional relationship with food (which some might say is a bit sad) but I think, for me, it would be much easier if I cut the emotional, pleasurable/indulgent ties with food and just see it as a job to fuel myself everyday and hopefully find more other things to use as emotional/indulgent props and rewards.

I would love to get rid of that situation where I see something, am tempted by it, eat it, then regret it. It annoys me that food can have that pull on me.

I think all I'm saying is that my own lack of will power annoys me!
Anyway this is what I'm working towards.

    Have a good weekend everybody.

I think it can happen, but it takes time. As you said, you need other things to provide emotional props and rewards. Which those will be depends entirely on you, what kind of things you like, what gives you pleasure.

It really is all about emotions, about habits that we developed long before we were aware of anything and which are buried deep in our subconscious. Did you fall over and scrape your knee - there there dear, have a bit of chocolate.

We've just been along to the surgery for our annual flu jab, and while they had my records open on the computer I asked them to update my weight. 67.9 kg this morning. The lowest I've been since I don't know when.

I'm still doing the cruise phase of Dukan but I have a special dispensation because it's a 'celebration meal' this evening. A 'feast for the fallen' at the Abbey Hotel, Battle. We'll be eating the type of food that was available in AD 1066 and the toast will be drunk in mead, which is lovely stuff, very sweet but very powerful. DH won't have much of it because he'll be driving home!!! Wholemeal bread - the first bread I've eaten in 3 months but obviously, no potatoes - they hadn't been discovered.

Glad you are still around Eric - not the same without you. ;)
    Hope you feel better soon.

Well done WoT - what an achievement :T

Thank you for SOTW, but not sure if I deserve it as most of what I lost was what I put over the wedding weekend :o

I have also been struck down by the 'lurgy' this week, which has put paid to my plans to go to bootcamp. Foolishly went swimming with a sore throat - now lost my voice and feel yuk! Hopefully get to bootcamp next week.

Fredsnail I have not had much time for walking or treadmill of late as life been getting in the way. I have though maintained my 45 minute early morning bootcamps 3 timesa week. Do these count in any way as milage?

I can walk around 2 miles in half an hour so would everyone consider 3 miles acceptable for Frodo - I know those bootcamps are hard so if everyone else is ok for us to count those as 3 miles I'm happy to do so.

Now all I have to do is many many trips to the dump to rid ourselves of the old kitchen and ofc cardboard boxes.

went out saturday night for a friends birthday, too many calories consumed from alcohol and then sunday felt really rough so may also have been a bit naughty and had a cake to try and make me feel better. It didnt. Back on it today though, even though i have lost my voice.
