Where has today gone??
One minute i was out and about at lunchtime and the next it's 10 at night.
OH has just gone to work and the dogs are snoring. Think ill be joining them soon.
Had a lovely BBQ, and the Lemon meringue was gorgeous. I had bought a big pack of 12 sausages and was going to make a casserole tomorrow but OH cooked them all, and suddenly they have gone, oh well the thought was there lol0 -
... Lou I think the one by Tony Ross has been out a while, I am sure it was around when my youngest was at that stage but I had forgotten it so I might pick that one up as well...
DS2 had that book when he was small....he's now 23Bitsy_Beans wrote: »I watched the wedding of a friend online in Vegas getting married to her prince who she'd met via a dating website (and they are my age BTW)
We married last year at the ripe old ages of 46 & 45, and we met on a dating website in 2003
Haven't been very OS recently - unless you count dust-busting the house several times after our bathroom refurb! Work still uncertain, but thats what you get for being in local government I guess.
Jannyannie I hope the carer who did that to your aunt is suitably punished. That is a despicable thing to do to a vulnerable person of any age, especially by someone in a trusted position. I hope that it isn't the tip of the iceberg of similar cases.0 -

He Hee. Its my Parents who look as if we are mad. Been married almost 7 years and together 12, and I'm still only just above the big 30. Lots of kisses, every day.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
I must admit I was spoiled by my late OH as he was very 'tactile' and would never go out of the house without kissing me goodbye, and always kissed me when he came in again. We were married for almost 40 years, and we still held hands walking down the street and he would always walk on the outside of me as well.He was a real old softie bless him, and although he's been gone 8 years I still miss him.
We had armchairs next to each other in the sitting room and often held hands watching t.v. The girls thought it a hoot that Mum and Dad were still soppy about each other after such a long time.He also made me laugh everyday of our marriage I was truly blessed with him and he is irreplaceable.
I had a great day at the beach with DD Tess and two of the boys, her eldest Ben, and her youngest Mikey. It was so hot in Broadstairs by 2.15 we had to move and went to Westgate where there was a slight breeze. The boys had a swim in the sea as the tide was still up and Mikey was zonked out in the car on the way home .Jack & Henry loved their 'adventure day out' with their youth club and went kyacking and sailing and Henry has discovered how much he likes sailing in a proper boat with no engine .They came home slighly sunburnt from being on the water but had a whale of a time.Henry now wants a sailing boat ( no chance:)) but he adored the water and was so keen on telling me about all the nautical terms for the boat that he had learned.
I stayed at DDs for a BBQ tonight and DGD Katie turned up with her boyfriend in tow .Her chap Tom lost his Granny last week and its her funeral tomorrow so the boys all made a fuss of him to try to cheer him up a bit bless them .Tom's a nice lad and nuts about my DGD Katie. She has an interview for a nursery job next week so we all have our fingers crossed for her.Eldest DD comes back from Lanzarote tomorrow so I have popped some milk and bread into her kitchen on the way home from my youngest DDs.Now I'm off to bed for a read .Night night ,God bless all here

Lots of kissies in this household too. I particularly like embarrassing my kids xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Sounds a bit like my DHHe doesn't look your typical softy sort - ex-rugby player and built like one too. I know he adores me and we always hold hands when we are out. I know it's a cliche to say it, but we don't argue. Our DD2 thinks it's yucky when we have a kiss. She is only 6 though! My eldest DD says she is in a minority at school having parents who are still together, and was really worried that we might split up too, so we have reassured her that we will never get divorced. Even in my DD2's class there are so many children from single parent families. It was extremely rare when I was growing up.
I don't know what I would do if anything happened to my DH. I don't know how he would manage if anything happened to me0
