Morning all. Inspired by Frith and her dates I decided to have another look at my dating website account to see if anything half decent was in there- hope springs eternal as there hasnt once in the 10 yrs since i joined and thought i'd share with you this email which might amuse and go some way to explaining what I seem to attract and why i havent found anyone on there..

It was entitled hihi and was supposedly from a 41 yr old man.

deg a luk at my profail its a fanda si pot wod laik do get to no your maind do

That's it in total. I mean I dont understand a blessed word of it.. and the odd thing is when you check the profile (no pic of course they never seem to have pics or if they do its of their meat and 2 veg) it seems to be rather eloquent..???

Anyone got any ideas as to how to decipher this? I have no clue why they do this surely communication is the first basic rule/step when dating..hes not a teen and he's not black and trying to talk street as far as I can tell - assuming his personal details are true.I'm not an interpreter. Maybe hes speaking his own language like Liz Fraser in the Cocteau Twins used to sing lol

    Good morning :)

I've read the thread so far, but can't remember much of what people said :o but

jan - your poor aunt, i do hope the thief will be caught. It's awful that someone is willing to do a thing like that

redruby - so sorry to hear about your dad's fall, such a worry for you and your DMum x

Betheebee - Of course we missed you, you're lovely :D Sorry you have had such a bad year, hope things are looking up a bit now. thinking of you x

Bitsy - When the cold weather comes you'll be so thankful you spent that £62 :)

ubamother - i bet it will take your DS a while to come down to earth when he gets home. Is he at New Dawn? Love the idea of putting him through the wash :D

Dazi - ....and breathe... It will all turn out okay in the end :)

Butterfly Brain - ((HUGS)) to you, swollen legs and hands are so uncomfortable. i hope the new dosage helps but i suppose you'll be running to the loo every five minutes :(

Hester - My BIL deliberately bought a house by a railway line. We went to stay with them earlier this year and were surprised to find the noise didn't disturb us at all after the first night, but they don't get many going past during the night. BIL's a train spotter :p

(((HUGS))) to anyone having a difficult time.

Not sure what I'm doing today except that I have to persuade OH to take me to Bluewater as i need some stuff from Lakeland ;) Will put the hoover round later if it's not too hot. I've ordered a small turbo brush so it'll be easier to do the stairs, hope it turns up soon. It's coming by Royal Mail but I haven't heard anything from Sebo to say it's been despatched. Still, I only ordered it on Sunday, and it is holiday time, maybe I'm expecting too much

    Best wishes

  • Hi everyone

Well it's far too hot and there isn't even a breeze, so the dogs only had a short walk this morning. OH is is bed after a night shift and i'm having a quick catch up.

It rained a little bit in the night, but not enough to cool things down, so i had both windows open and the curtains so i had some air and luckily slept through. All i could hear were owls and the odd bit of wildlife.

Today, i have a job interview at 12. I'm trying to decide whether it would be appropriate to wear 3/4 length work trousers as it's so hot, what do you think?

Think we will potter about outside today although i really want to tidy out the cupboard under the stairs, it's that crammed full Harry Potter can't fit in lol

It was going to be gammon for tea, but reading on here about quiche and wedges, i think i shall make a quiche instead.

Gilly - I would wear normal trousers then find somewhere to change after ;)

Ivy - Have fun at lakeland, we're having one built ATM :T

Gilly - I agree with bargainbird, as some companies are a bit funny about cropped trousers, even "work" ones

Bargainbird - I bet you can't wait! Be warned though, when you get to the till they ask "Did you find everything you needed today?", to which my reply tends to be that I found a lot of things I didn't know I needed :D You have to be very strong-minded when you go there - best to make a list and stick to it. I should practise what I preach :o i'm getting better though.

ETA; Sorry Gilly, I quite forgot, good luck!

Beth - Actually I really like Fox :o but I think that stems back to my love of The X Files ;)
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife :D Louise Brooks
