    Two questions:

    1. I am making that tea cosy from your blog as a secret santa present and would need to know the lenght and the hight of the gaps for the spout and handle. I don't have a teapot that I could model it with.

For the spout the hole sits 1" up from the base for a 3" space. The handle , again 1" from the base for 5" sized hole - TBH it fits my wee teapot and my neighbours big "Brown Betty" so you should be OK.

    2. Any ideas about good free mind mapping software that I could download from the web (or even doing online and saving under my account). It should be something that can be easily printed so that I can add graphs and pics on it.

You can get a free 30 day trial on here - its one of the better ones but still more limited than what you can do free-hand. All my Mind Maps are done freehand and then scanned in for distribution and printing, but give it a go.

    Morning All

I was with my XH for 15 years. it wasn't a happy time and he wasn't nice to me but we have two children so it wasn't time wasted. He was diagnosed with Amyloidosis (sp?) earlier this year and has been getting chemo to help treat it. He was taken into hospital last night with breathing difficulties and his mum said they are going to need to ventilate him. he wont come off the ventilator. I've had to explain to No1 son this morning exactly what that means.

I would be gratful for any healing/comforting/stregthening vibes you could send him, his girlfriend and our children. They will need them. I feel 'odd' - I have no feelings towards him (not even negative ones) and our marriage feels like another lifetime ago but he has three very young children with his current partner and she loves him - and I feel for her, and his mum and our sons.

    Thank you x

  • Jc2703, sending vibes, thinking of you and your kids, and his family.

    Nevertheless she persisted.

  • jc2703, sending positive vibes to all concerned. Even when you know you have moved on, when something like this happens you realise that you remain concerned for the person you were once so close to.

I would encourage anyone to do mind mapping by hand. The whole point is that it's a creative process, which I believe means actual pen and actual paper and feeling the process physically take shape. IMO doing it on computer is going to generate a barrier between your mind and the creative process (I know that sounds like pompous twaddle!) You'll remember it better and engage with it more deeply if you've done the drawing and the colouring yourself.
