  • Today's haul: 4 black refuse bags of stuff to go to the CS; other stuff to the bin. I now have no redundant clothes, and all my wrapping paper, cards and other stationery is corralled into 3 crates (my grandfather was a paper merchant and the genes will out, as I can't resist lovely paper and cards, notebooks, writing pads, tissue paper etc.)

And no need for any Christmas shopping - having squirrelled away specifics over the year, the gift cupboard was better stocked than I thought. And also have agreed with one friend that we will meet for a light bite rather than exchange gifts. This is becoming more and more how I wish to celebrate - time spent together, Christmas presence, connecting, a wee oasis of enjoyment.

    MG Heeeellllpppppp!!!

    Two questions:

    1. I am making that tea cosy from your blog as a secret santa present and would need to know the lenght and the hight of the gaps for the spout and handle. I don't have a teapot that I could model it with.

    2. Any ideas about good free mind mapping software that I could download from the web (or even doing online and saving under my account). It should be something that can be easily printed so that I can add graphs and pics on it.

  • Good way to describe it, Bitsy! It's addictive that's for sure, being a paperholic, and I've been smitten since I was a wee girl - I can remember aged 5 having a wee cardboard briefcase, with all my bits and pieces in it, including play scissors for cutting out those paper dolls and their paper outfits... and my granny always gave me notelets whenever I saw her! I still associate packets of notelets or blank cards with that warm comforting "granny" feeling. I can confidently say, having put my stash together, that I will probably never need to buy another card ever.....

  • I can certainly agree with the idea of stationary !!!!!!. It is almost as bad as fabric stashes.
