MG are your boys much good at housework? Can they help? (I guess the Toddler would probably be more hindrance.......?)
My DS has started to help more and more with the housework :A which is really helpful. He brings all the small dustbins from the rooms upstairs down and empties them into the big bin. He puts stuff in the recycling bag and will put the newspaper in the recycling bin. He puts dirty washing in the washing machine and will help peg it out when washed.
He even likes to hoover! (not that he does a good job...lol)0 -
DS1 is pretty good - does bins, recyclling, hoovers and mops floors. He is pretty good at sortin gout the laundry too (although hates hanging it out on the line).
He also pulls together a pretty mean meal plan - so I guess its all going in Lol
Off to see the Chrimbo lights going on.

My sympathy today goes with those with explosive bosses. My manager was picking on me today even than she shouldn't even be my manager anymore and I am not responsible of the tasks anymore that I was picked on. Grrrrr.
Anyway I have taken tomorrow and Monday off so that I can
a) clear my in tray at home (it is stressing me out)
b) study, only 2.5 weeks for exams left, where did the time go "Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Got a nice quandry to be dealt with, just been to pick kids up from m-i-l and she gave me a morrisons savings card with £89 on it which she has been saving up on all year for us to help us out with Christmas. They are possibly joining us for Christmas day depending on dh's shift as he enjoys cooking for them so do I spend it on Christmas from there knowing full well I can get most of the stuff hods cheaper elsewhere or do I use it to stockpile essential stuff that can't be bought in our usual shops?
answers on a postcard please:D

Dora: I would suggest you use it other things that you can stockpile and save from and get Christmas sorted from cheaper sources. Providing you provide in-laws with a meal resembling Christmas they aren't going to know where it came from! Talking of which Aldies frozen turkeys/ turkey crowns are excellent value and really good flavour.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Good evening,
Been all go here today, 2walls in ds1's room plastered, they are coming back tomorrow to finish. Although the floors are all covered in plaster nowI'm not going to bother cleaning them until they have finished.

Use the money to get the best value Dora - In-Laws won't know (or care after a couple of sherries) Lidls have turkeys in right now for a tenner too - and just think how far you could spin the card buying yellow packets for your stockpile.
I bethca m-i-l would have made the same decision years ago IYSWIM. She will be proud of you using her gift to create the most value.
I would give her an extra cuddle at Christmas when you produce the food - let her know how much you appreciate her help. Bet she will beam.
Off to get my head around the spellings for this weeks homework - nightmare time for me - smart son and dyslexic Mum is not a great combination.

Thanks guys - was leaning towards stockpiling with it anyway and buying a few bits and bobs that Aldi don't seem to do (they've changed cheese suppliers atm and it is a bit yuck now and marmite is a bit rare in our local shop)
Have already given m-i-l a huge hug and thank you and am determined dh won't get his hands on it or we'll be eating weird snacky things and expensive smelly blue cheese all Christmas!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
