    Something amazing happened this morning.
Today is the day of my Big and Scary Audit which I have been dreading for at least two months, but I got here and there was an e-mail saying that they were just going to do the research side (nothing to do with me) and try and do a light touch audit of the finance side remotely in January.
It is like expecting to do an exam at school and being sent home because the boiler's out of order. These are the things you pray for that never ever happen normally.

    You are amazing Helen

You see the joy in them moving the goal posts at the last minute - my first reaction would be to be massively cheesed off at all the prep and worry I had been through.

So how are you enjoying your "reprieve" ?

  • Afternoon all! Typing at home after deciding to take an afternoon off. Both of my meetings today had been cancelled, so I thought I would take the opportunity of some down time. Currently snuggled up on the sofa with my baby cat (who is the size of a small panther!), a pile of crafting magazines and the Father Dowling mysteries on the telly. Perfect! Might go and make a cup of hot chocolate to go alongside actually - my hands are incredibly cold!! So happy to hear the progress you are making on the rooms MG. You are amazing!!

Lots of love and positivity to the Matrix...

Have you finished yet? If not, what are you doing sneaking on here... You should be slaving away on your building site :D

Once you've built the walls, do you have the fixtures/fittings/furnishings you need? (Just thinking about the clearing out I might be doing next week...)

I'm finished for the day :D

Just treated the boys to toasted crumpets and butter and raspberry jam for tea at 4pm - HUGE HIT:j:j Recipe - you know where ;) and pictures mmmmmmmm!!!

I'm moving DS2 bedroom stuff upstairs lock, stock - and with that and the built in wardrobe he should be fully kitted out. So thankfully very little expense other than the building of the walls.

Even the carpet was a bargain find for £20 from the local charity place and the blue paint 99p a tin from a shop that was shutting down - although he did mention to his Gran that he wanted a pink room like his wee pals:eek:

Off to fish the big one out of the bath before he ends up wrinkly and prune-like (also cos I am aching and want to pull rank:rotfl:)

Glad to hear that Claire, I neglected to send you a hug yesterday. Don't over do it with getting the house straight or you will be back where you started.

Yo, Greenbee! I don't come on here for couple of hours and my position as The Boot is usurped:rotfl:. Ok, ok I can do with some help.

Btw, peeps, presentation for Friday done (did I mention that I am the main act at a research workshop; may be haven't). Now have to finish the blog post for another blog (this is what I do lately), then do the 'rounds' and then, hopefully, bed with a good novel.

Greebee, good luck for Friday (just in case I can't come on here).

MG, well done; you skills portfolio is ever expanding. When are the students moving in?
