  • Hello Matrix,

Can't believe how dark it is out there, it makes me feel kinda slowed down..but on a plus side I came home to flowers on the doorstep from DH's work. He's won something that obviously includes flowers, in a fabulous vase, for me - so one very MSE vase which I love (and an old one will be off to the CS tomorrow).

Busy evening to keep me from being terrified about tomorrows course (Career master class thing - CV's mostly), well the course attendees mainly as they all seem to be solicitors and I'm not! I have a prep bit to do - a 250 word competence example - which I've not much of a clue about as that's why I'm going on said course..

OK homework and bath/bed for the lad, then dinner, ironing & paperwork - and maybe a small treat if I do the paperwork,

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

My Mum calls it "niceing" someone.

I like this - it's just been added to my vocabulary

And MG - you want fashion coments from me???? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I generally find that wearing dog fur coloured clothes makes me more neat & tidy than a smart self clolour like black or navy blue. And colours with a smidgen of paw print pattern thrown in is perfect.
Think a smart pair of trousers in that style would look good?

Seriously though - I'm no good with things ike that but if you're making up tutorials - count me in.....

Just popping in to say hi and send anybody who needs one a hug. Some of you sound so down and are dealing with so much. Love especially to Greenbee and Thrifty.

Still trying to find a way forward but I know after today that I'm nearing the end of my attention span with the invigilating so this will help me start planning so that I can let it fade away.

  • Greenbee. So sorry about your result ( thanks for alerting me Bitsy). I'm so tired these days my speed reading consists of every second line.
But I'm great believer in "what's for you will no go by you" aka everything in it's own time.
Be patient - when you are a Mum you'll need patience in abundance -might as well practice now.

Thank you all for your support and sympathy... I keep telling myself I was just looking for an excuse to get out of my Friday appointment :D And I'm quite looking forward to a week's rest...

... I have also just been emailing a colleague who is about to have a month off, as she has pre-cancerous cells in her colon so they're just taking a section out. We've both agreed we're very lucky to have had the problem caught so early... And i am very grateful that I can have medical treatment and the only surgical intervention is to provide biopsies for screening rather than something radical. I think it's put things in perspective.

So tomorrow I need to get my act together and start preparing. There is housework and laundry to be done before Friday regardless of how grotty I'm feeling.

    Morning all.

I have got a funny old day planned - long list of niggly bits that I have been putting off. So up and at em - WM on first.

Also had a bit of an "Aha!!" moment with one of the mentors this morning. I said "if I am going to achieve my MFi3 goal I am going to have to get busy and work at it full-time as I am not getting anywhere fast.

He quite rightly redirected me to go and read "The 4 Hour Work Week" again and pointed out that at the moment I am working hard and working smart and that is what needs to continue.

So my goal of getting the two rooms ready for letting by December is the right goal - then I can move onto the other nine projects.

2 rooms let out to students - £4500 per annum x 3 years = £13500, which is more than 10% of my target.

So on with my builders boots - the last door needs to be hung and plasterboard is arriving on Monday.

    TTFN lovely ladies

IT is blowing a hoolie here - the wind is whipping through the chimney pots making that eerie noise. Autumn cannot be ignored today and my cup of tea is very welcome.

I feel a baking session coming on - but something savoury for an after school snack. Maybe some Toasting Muffins - with a stash for the freezer as well.

In the meantime lunch is soup from the slow cooker and then back upstairs to frame out the wardrobe.

Then maybe I need to break out the wallet and buy some real butter as a treat.
