Still I got chatted up on the bus on the way home by the bus driver (this is someone I went out with when I was 18 - we broke up when I was 20), he is married with 3 kids (pretty much all grown up now). I know he fancies his chances with me but it will never happen, he had his chance and blew it. He keeps asking why I never had kids - I do not have the heart to tell him that the man I would have had kids with married someone who used to be my best friend (true and that man is him so rather than cause anguish I keep my thoughts to myself).
Horace never in all the time I have read these boards have I wanted to reach out and hug someone as much as when I read that. I will confess to being a soppy old romantic but that made me feel so sad for you and also very much in awe of your selflessness at keeping it to yourself. I sincerely hope fate rewards you well for keeping quiet.

Hi, I'm a long time lurker but first time poster on here, love the supportive vibes coming through! I find you all very inspiring

Plan to de-clutter more and economise more after the New Year, our new year starts 1 February after a special holiday which I suspect will be very expensive, but budgeted and saved for.

love the 15 minute blasts at tasks, have tried this and works a treat for me

  • Good morning Matrix....

Sorry I have been AWOL for so long. Work has cracked down on Internet usage, and by the time I have got home, I have been so weary that I have been fit for nothing but bed. I think a corner has been turned though. I am feeling a bit better about life, the universe and everything.

Dean of the Law School complained to my boss about me. My Boss said "I am not involving HR yet" which sounded a great deal like a threat. However, I have taken the moral high road and I have sorted out the issues and am dealing with them professionally. I am throwing myself into my job and being as polite as I can be and when my direct team get annoying, I put my MP3 player on and ignore them all! It seems to be working.

Needless to say, i am on tenterhooks awaiting any information about the job I applied for. I am not convinced I will be getting called for an interview, especially considering that there are so many people looking for work. But if you are not in it, you can't win it. So, I lost nothing in applying.

At home, last night was the first night is absolutely ages that I managed to have enough energy to do some housework and cook the dinner. And what's more, I enjoyed doing it! :) I have today off work, and I am intending on mixing fun (knitting and Christmassy stuff) with not as fun (cooking and cleaning). And I might pop out sometime during the day as well. Hubby is out at a Church meeting tonight, so I have about 15 hours all to myself! :) I can cope with this!

I am so inspired by you MG - with how you find out what to do and how to do it from all kind of sources, and then just get on and do it. You are amazing. I hope you know that. Right... off to do a couple more rows of knitting and then decide what to attack first in my day off!

Have a good one everyone. I might pop back with a list of all the things I have achieved!! :)

First time I have asked for the Matrix Postive Vibes treatment so here goes.........Long story short: have been 'unwell' for a while - ongoing recurring problem;appropriate referrals made etc etc. Last 2 weeks been very off colour and now off work this week - very unusual for me, Feeling pressure from work to return but feel I need to stay away until fully fit which is doctors advice. The reason why I am ill now is probably more to do with the a combination of cocktail of meds I have had prescribed and the stress of it all, rather than the underlying condition which, remarkably, has settled down in the last 4 weeks or so. All I want is to feel well again; get back on track and back to work. I am a rubbish patient too. So a few postive healing vibes would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi all

Sid Snot didn't put in appearance on the course yesterday, 3 people that were there on Monday didnt appear but 3 more appeared in their place. One was a nice chap who started looking rather grey and said he had chest pains that sometimes went down his arm - hence much concern from everyone. He refused an ambulance and said that he would pop into his local hospital on his way home. This could have been a heart attack or it could have been a remnant of a chest infection he was getting over.

I was out last night and bearing in mind it is 2 months since I was last at the golf club (no meeting last month) the owner Pat commented on how much weight I had lost. I know I have lost weight because my black cords which are a size 14 are baggy around the waist and my size 14 velvety jeans (they were always a bit tighter) fit perfectly and are a little loose around the waist. Not so long ago I couldn't pull them up let alone do them up:eek: I haven't been on a diet as such - just eaten less and cut down on the junk. For the first time in ages I managed to eat all my dinner last night and didn't leave a thing:D

Must break my NSD to buy that woman's mag that features MG (woman's own isn't it with the story about the robin family?). Spent morning taking sausages out of their skins and chopping them up, now in slow cooker with veg and some stock cooking away for dinner later. Must retrieve washing from machine and hang it in my living room.

Laters all..am off to look at the Other Side.

@Dora - you stopped looking for the pencil case and the house pixie decided that she had finished with it and returned it to the place that she knew you would look. If I lose something at home, I always stop looking for that thing and look for something else whilst at the same time asking the pixie to help me find it and I always find the original thing that I had lost.
