Dorastar you can buy night time pads for them to sleep on or shorts for this very thing. Not cheap but when you factor in the extra cost of washing etc may not be totally unMSE. would save you the hassle of dealing with wetness at unsociable times.
Claire :eek: to your H giving the cats leftover gammon. They must have though Christmas came early!
FW sorry to hear your BP is high, look after yourself.
Been a productive day here, dusted and vacced downstairs, went food shopping, cooked chicken, made onion chutney and made a felt gingerbread man for my mums Christmas tree (pics on homepage for those that want a nosey)
kitchen looks a bomb site though so once DS is off to bye byes guess what I'll be doing :cool:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

This kid here was just put on medication for high blood pressure. Well, time for change I think!
FW
FW, my DH was diagnosed as High but it was stress because he was at the doctors - DOES NOT DO DOCTORS - and was much lower when tested at home! They even have a name for it -White Coat Syndrome.
Need Matrixey type help today - especially from anyone who is mega clever - have 'lost' my pencil case with all my work pendrives in it and have searched at home, work and in the car to no avail today. I desperately need to find it & them as they have loads of stuff on that I need on a daily basis and to re-do what is on them is a lifetime of work especially as I am now on my third laptop as I have killed two in my time so I have a lot of info on them. If anyone has any 'thoughts' as to where they might be please let me know cos I am stumped.
You have to pretend you are not looking for the pencil case and look for something completely different ( I can always think of something I can't find.). That way you catch it by surprise.AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
Thats better!
Just went to use the rest of the gammon joint that was cooked yesterday to do a stirfry and DH Gave it to the cats  am well Peed off
Oh, my! Are you sure we are not married to the same man? :rotfl::rotfl:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Thanks ladies - very kind of you - have some virtual chocolate birthday cake in appreciation. *Hands round virtual cake*
It has been a strange day: have finally been given the PT job I thought I would get (:j) and it could go FT in December if all goes well. I just need to get my head round loads and loads of tech stuff, say a prayer and work a bit more than strictly necessary in the hope that it all goes well. *crosses fingers*
It will mean even longer than usual spent on t'interweb, so I think I will have to curtail my social surfing a bit (sorry ladies, but knowing me that won't stick!), and I need to get some other PT work as well to up my income overall.
clairewop: sympathies on the gammon.
FW: you can't kick our bahookies with high blood pressure, so we are counting on you reducing it for the good of ALL our health (and wealth!).
Ladies, things just got interesting! :cool:0 -
Hope you have an inkling of where your pen drives are this morning Dora.
Just had a bizarre conversation with my Dad - his Golf Club presentation is this Saturday up in my town, so can he stay the night?
Erm!!! well you could have if I hadn't had to clear the spare room last weekend so that I could lift up the timber and start building walls for DS2's room. (which you may remember he had promised to do 2 years ago. But if you'd like a mattress on the floor that would be OK.
"Thought WE agreed that I would help you in the week between Christmas and New Year, why have you moved MY bed?"
"No Dad. YOU suggested, but I would much rather spend that week with my children as they are off school, with my parents that I see rarely now and getting the house organised for the students moving in the second week of January - building walls with three adults, two kids and your dog chasing the cat through the mess doesn't fill me with "Good Tidings"!!
Honestly - where doe she think we can find a timber yard open between Christmas and New Year??? Silly Sod:rotfl:
But today I am putting all the walls together - so must beedle off and borrow a lad from next door for half an hour to lift them up.

Belated Happy Birthday Sunflower, and remember you are still just 30 and a few months. I have been 30 and a few months for many years now..
Sorry to hear about your BP FW, DH going through the same thing at moment and I know it is on his mind so just take care of yourself.0 -
Good morning all
Thank you all for the enthusiasm you have shown over my SSSI. I am looking into websites and I do want to get going with my blog, I have loads of photos I want to share for one thing.
The meeting with Natural England now looks set for 29th November, I wanted it on a Friday so I could have a long weekend off work but the pesky woman only works Tues-Thurs.
I too had a birthday on Saturday, 4 & 8 for me, somehow sneaked up whilst I was busy doing other things. DD2 came home from uni and we were busy doing family things over the weekend.
Work also is going to be relentlessly busy until Christmas although it will be better when we have next week's RCUK audit out of the way. Cross fingers they don't find anything dreadful!0 -
Good Morning
A very sore Clairewop todayneed to go to the library to print some stuff out this morning as I have no ink in the computer, plus get to P.O to get my money at some point today.
I had a tidy through when I came home last night so didn't have to do much this morning apart from empty and reload the dishwasherBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Helen - DS1 has been learning how to woodwork with me (using scraps from walls)
He has built a birdhouse for the school playground and they are putting it up today. It has got a teeny plaque on the front that I have just noticed that he has put the name of the house on
"Bogbean Manshion, SSSI" - Ok so I think we need to work on the spellings but the thought makes me want to jump up in the air with pride.:j
Mind you proves he still listens to me sometimes :rotfl:
HYPOTHETICAL question please?
If someone had a blog and someone comments on the blog - a proper considered response (like they had actually read an article), but they were from a Debt Mgt co and payday loan supplier ....... would you link?
Its not one of the charities - cos I would link to them in a heartbeat, its the short term loan thingie that doesn't sit well IYWIM. I have noticed so many people reaching debt crisis because of these loans gone wrong and my conscience would be pricking me.
What do you think?
