no idea why, but this has made me cry!

Well he is being pretty generous - but the reality is there is always spare hours for labourers -waiting for skips, deliveries, trades to finish - so he is paying them and they are better off over the wall helping me out than sneaking off to the pub (It happens). Tea only this side of the fence.

Also if some of the refurb can be recycled into my garden then they don't have to pay to scrap the old timber IYSWIM.

So its a win for everyone really as long as I ma not too hung up on when it has to happen.

OOps Claire - push bike or motor version?

Two tables set up in DS2's "room to be" Covered in taped on cardboard to protect the surfaces.

Chop saw, pocket drill jig, Stile saw, cordless drill and router located and set up. Now if I could just find my tape measure - last seen in mitts of my very own Bob the Builder :D

But first - yup!!! School uniform ironing

    Great new MG.

Well done on the ebaying sunflower. Treat it like a job, so maybe spend half a day on that and half a day looking for jobs every day. It'll keep you in a routine and in the correct mindset. In the looking for jobs bit include linkedin and other networking plus your courses and the other projects you have on.

I hope DS becomes less accident prone soon Claire!

Like MG I have DIY to do this afternoon. I have decided the little bedroom needs another coat of paint and some of the woodwork touching up. As the weather is vile, rather than delaying my handyman (who I want to prioritise ceilings and high bits I can't do) I will do that myself this afternoon while dealing with the laundry mountain and trying to get stuff put away. The WM has been tested (too little stuff, too much detergent :o so the floor is now clean :p) as has the DW (outlet still leaking a tiny bit, so needs sorting tomorrow). WM filter has been done so I need to run clean water through before starting on the washing. Floor needs a scrub to get the cement off the tiles and grout, but I have started moving stuff back into the utility room which will help my sanity!

My mum helped me clean up and planted some bulbs, my dad helped check the plumbing, and they have now gone off to see grandchildren. They're back tomorrow and apparently will be planting more bulbs and doing something to the back door to make it close properly once my dad has borrowed a chisel from my brother. Which reminds me... While the WM is cleaning itself I'll sort out the draught excluder on the back door.

    Back soon...
