Arrived at precisely 1.23 ( delivery time was 1.22- 2.22pm!) lovely bloke but had no idea what he was delivering cos he asked if I wanted it hidden from ds in case it was a pressie from Father Christmas, and looked mega confused when I said it was food! How did they cram all that lot in such a tiny box? Order is fab, except I ordered loo roll and it has just been reduced in Morrisons for even less but have got 7 pizzas worth of bases being made into dough as we speak.:T
Sounds like another convert - seriously ladies, the single best thing I ever did to pay off my debt so quickly was to build a cracking store cupboard. I allocated £5 er week to build my storecupboard.
Keep an eye on AF and order when they have the food your family eats - it can be a bit hit and miss and then rotate your bargains into your menu plan.
Huge money savings to be made - and it does feel like Christmas when your parcel arrives too.
They will be my best friend on my road to MFi3.

MG: well done on the Debt Freeness. :T
I was let go from work yesterday. It was totally out of the blue.
Back I go to filling out applications I go. I took a brief look last night, but there's very little out there.
I am down but I am not out. I am a SunFlower and when my back is against the wall, I grow.0 -

Ex BF used to wear a lycra skirt when he was here and when he was at his own flat because he thought that it was healthier for his dangly bits. Mind you I did wonder about his sexuality at times, he would shop for bras for himself because he was conscious of his man boobs. He was extremely anti-gay but his !!!!!! collection showed that he was into unusual practices plus women were only there to cook and clean. Over the years he became more deluded and filled with his own self importance - the only thing he was good at was lying. As my late grandma would say "he couldn't stand straight behind a corkscrew". Unfortunately, it took me until January this year to see what he was truly like...good riddance to bad rubbish I say:D No more naturist hols for me either (not that I got my kit off - I stayed in a beach tent all day) :rotfl:0 -

Its rainy and grey here - boys have elected to have a "jammies day" but I noticed the current batch of plasticine is getting a bit dodgy - so I may nip out and check whether the Red Roosters are in the shop and treat them to a new pack from the pound shop.
The MFi3 challenge was supposed to start on Christmas eve - but you know what. that's two months off so have made the decision to start on 1 November instead. Gotta keep the momentum going.
So I am making a batch of chicken stock in the slow cooker and a vat of veggie base in the pressure cooker so that I can start having soups again for lunch as I saved a fortune in September and enjoyed them so much.
The one thing I love about Autumn is that you can cook up vats of favourite dishes and then dinner is courtesy of "Mama Ping". Almost at the stage that most weekday dinners are taken care of. Today should see lunches the same.
And the big news - its almost November and my heating is still not on - evenings are chilly but the hot water bottle, blanket, cat and knitting combo seems to be working so far. Just being careful so that we can afford to have the heating on if / when the weather does turn.
Off to get busy as my challenge for today is to finish my door curtain to stop the breeze blowing into DS2's bedroom.

Sunflower, ((hugs)) for such a sudden loss of job, and well done on your brave words, with that attitude you'll do well. Good luck with the job hunting. Sending positive vibes for something even better for you.
I'm looking forward to my AF order arriving. It includes a humungous bag of chickpea flour, 25kg! so I've been googling recipes - I can make faina/socca/farinata = chickpea flour pizzas; also found recipes for chickpea flour dumplings, pancakes and bhajis. And chips (made up like polenta, slabbed, cooled then cut into chips and fried). Yum yum. Also ordered a lot of sachets of Polish soups. So I think my standard take-into-work lunch will be soup and socca - gotta love alliteration! Specially when it's so money-saving!
Continuing here with the big tidy up. Nothing like your efforts greenbee - felt tired just reading - hope it all gets done to timetable and you can catch your breath. If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
