Got lots of bits to do today and kids are begging to go bowling after AF order finally arrives this afternoon. Dd has got a stinky old cold and requires hugs and tissues and dh has been called into work for an hour or so.
Off to start lots of 15 minutes today, tomorrow and Monday to try and get back on track with life.

Sounds like today is a positive day in Matrix Land.
Got great news this morning - they have started work on the old "drugs pub and hostel" next door. Its going to be a posh restaurant. Woohooo!!! Not that I will be eating there all the time but my assumption is that junkies don't tend to hang around eating amuse bouche and sipping aperatif's .
Happy Days

A great start with a good omen and positive confirmation - dismantled the TV, tuner and dvd player, and lo and behold, behind all the gubbins was my long lost (for years) dvd of The Secret! :j:j I'll be watching it on the lappy tonight!
I've felt nothing but happy at packing away the tuner etc. And TV Licencing are sending me a refund of £74! Even better! :rotfl::rotfl:If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Morning all
Glorious day here today - the sun is out:D I have been sorting out clothes, clothes that have been dumped onto the blanket box will be hung in the wardrobe. I do have some silk tops that I need to handwash although one says I need to dry clean it (wondering if I can get away with a handwash on it?). I looked inside the blanket box and found my old store of winter woolies and other bits eg. vest tops that are all sparkly that have never been worn complete with tags - I can feel a sale coming on:D I have also washed half of the antique glass from off the whatnot - some still to do and the whatnot has been part dusted, I also dusted the tv yesterday and surprisingly the picture is much clearer:rotfl:
Letter written to kn*bhead too but I haven't been out to the postbox yet.
I have checked what I owe and with mum's help it is now less scary - this is a postive move. Need to apply for more jobs today, I saw one at the college next door - only a receptionist post and the pay is around £16K which isnt much but better than a smack in the mouth with a wet fish:rotfl:
Well done Crickett - you go girl.
Sending positive vibes to folks too and hexes to those that need hexing:D0 -
Horace - I always hand wash silk and wool and ignore the dry clean rubbish. In fact when I get bored of hand washing I machine wash cold on a wool cycle and low spin and it's usually fine... Dry cleaning is nasty... Try hand washing something that has been dry-cleaned and look at what comes out!
Dry cleaning is for suits. And even then I'm prepared to experiment with lightweight ones when they reach a certain age...0 -
Fairly positive day here so far -
I've managed to get to the end of the month within my overdraft :j by 39p! I am paid Monday thankfully.
DS managed to leave my handbag on a church lychgate, and it was still there when we arrived back 40 minutes later, mind you I was rather hot & bothered by the time we got there...
Finally got the SN diagnosis letter from DS's paed, which is welcome as very overdue but factually incorrect in places & seems to be referring to a different child. It was typed up two weeks after our appointment, and has taken another two weeks to be sent, so time lags may have contributed? I agree with three of the "labels" but definitely not the fourth one, which could affect how he is treated at school, so need to draft a letter back, and I guess it means another appointment to see if it can be resolved quickly.
My madly busy few months may just have got more busy!
Right, its nice and bright, and I have Ebay photos to sort out,
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Dutifully been out to the Credit Union before collecting DS2 from Playgroup - met a local Surveyor as I walked through town.
"You will be pleased at the new Restaurant" he says "Your house is now worth a good £20k more"
:eek: Not that I am planing to move or anything but nice to know, so funnily enough much more motivated to go and make it as fabulous as it should be.
Onwards and onwards - and I think I shall join you in a "Secret" viewing tonight with my knitting Groatie. Time to re get refocussed.

Grrr at a wasted morning trying to get dh's phone sorted out - has been at shop since Sept 16th as keys keep locking and he has to take it all to bits to work it - not idea when you work as a carer with people who might need emergency help. Phone was sent to another branch as ours was being refurbished but they didn't contact him, tracked it down to a nearby town and went to get it Wednesday and it still didn't work so they promised a replacement today. Went back today and the new replacement hasn't been ordered and the one they offered as an alternative didn't work. Has now been told he will get one Monday... I am not holding my breath... and I feel a lengthy letter of  coming on.
Just sat waiting for AF order now..........:)Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Secret it is tonight then - I am going to join the party watching it. Strange bunch we are though; people go to the cinema or watch movies and we watch the Secret!
