Ooerr my eyes are all squiffy:eek: I decided to cut the sarong in half to make fatter than normal door sausages. I have spent my time since about 1.30pm til now hand sewing down a short edge and a long edge. I think now that it is going to be too fat and will need a lot of stuffing. So far I have chucked in 3 fleecy tops that no longer fit, ex BF's skirt (don't ask) and now I need more stuff to go in so will have a rummage around my old primark stuff that I no longer wear so that I can see what can be chucked out. This door sausage will be rather glam with large pink hibiscus flowers on it. Not had lunch yet either...
I am quite pleased with my efforts so far because it takes me 10 mins to thread a needle even using a needle threader because my closeup eyesight is really that bad. My sewing is pretty basic and I stabbed myself 4 times with the needle:mad: It is quite an achievement because these days I never sew due to the strain it puts on my eyes:(
Also realised today that the crystal heart shaped pin tray that I picked up in the charity shop for 10p is actually real Waterford crystal because it is acid etched on the bottom Waterford..I should be able to sell this for a profit on fleabay:cool:0 -

Arrived at precisely 1.23 ( delivery time was 1.22- 2.22pm!) lovely bloke but had no idea what he was delivering cos he asked if I wanted it hidden from ds in case it was a pressie from Father Christmas, and looked mega confused when I said it was food! How did they cram all that lot in such a tiny box? Order is fab, except I ordered loo roll and it has just been reduced in Morrisons for even less but have got 7 pizzas worth of bases being made into dough as we speak.:TMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

The small bedroom is painted (2 coats on the ceiling, skirting, door and doorframe given another coat, and walls given a fresh coat too. We've kept it the same colour. So tomorrow I need to give it a really good clean and try to work out where the furniture will go and where I need the electrics.
My mother arrived just before lunch, we visited the new baby, picked up a tap for my utility room (reduced to clear in screwfix) then went to see my cousins for tea. Annoyingly the electrician came over while we were out and all the workmen had finished for the day
Everyone is back at the crack of dawn tomorrow (plasterer to finish the hall ceiling, handyman and plumber to stick the utility room back together). After that I should be able to do washing and move stuff back into the utiiity room which will make the shed and kitchen tidier! I the have to empty the spare room by Wednesday night as the plasterer will be back on Thursday to do the last bit. By which time the hall/stairs/landing will have been painted.... So I need to choose the spare room paint and sort out the utility tiles to be done while I'm away.
I also made a vat of cauli and bean soup, as cauliflowers were reduced at the farm shop, cooked lamb chops with lots of veg for supper and have two portions to freeze, decanted the pheasant stock out of the SC and remembered to get the beef out of the freezer ready to bung in the SC tomorrow. More seems to be going back into the freezer every time I take something out.
Shattered, so hope to catch up properly tomorrow, after I have delivered my mother to see her grandchildren.0 -
