Just wondering if its worth buying m
uch food when I'll be away training a lot so it will need to be frozen and then I'd need to move the contents of the freezer FW so nothing major.
SF I deliberately haven't filled it too full, sure a wee box/bag would do for a few of my 1 pound liver portions!
Thanks mg, just thinking ahead to my move!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
AW Souk - I was hoping you were out buying fabulous things to eat.
I've got a bag that you can use for the move I think.

Hi Greenbee - he says you need to scrape the distemper off. You should then be able to sand and cover with one of those polycell cover all type paints.
ThanksI'll see what the plasterer comes up with tomorrow, but I suspect he'll be prepping the ceiling for painting, not skimming it.
Nipped into town and picked up a dress that has been mended. Didn't pick up the skirt as it's at the cleaners and I CBA to go there until I have the cleaning sorted out to take in.
Waterproof tops are washed and now going round the machine again with re-proofer. Hopefully I'll get them on the line while there is still some wind and sun.
Need to run the Hoover round and stop procrastinating...0 -

On a cleaning spree here at Thrifty Towers. Dd's pit has been deep-cleaned and the bathroom has been made fit-to-be-seen by outsiders again :rotfl:. Ds has been warned that I will be in his room lots next week. Washing and ironing not too bad since heating has been turned on and I can finally get things dried.
My sewing machine went bang today - lots of smoke pouring out the foot pedal . The machine is 30 years old so I guess it is time to investigate a new one. I need to make some new duvet covers fit for a diva (dd) and I'm blowed if I'm going to pay the prices of the ones she is looking at - she knows what she likes that girl :rotfl:.
Hope everyone is having a grand old Saturday. Take care all, Thriftyxxx0 -
Waterproofs on the line, Hoover waved over utility/kitchen/hall/loo/stairs. Another load of washing in. Should probably do the rest of the hoovering soon.
Online shopping done - organic cotton tights (so much nicer than synthetic ones and I can get away with them as I'm not going into the office), bulk DW liquid and a few other bits and pieces. I need to sort out the house insurance tonight too. And order Epsom salts (nutritionist is insisting on me reinstating Epsom salt baths), as well as Estrobalance shakes - recommended by the nutritionist, and the consultant has agreed... He says conventional medicine doesn't know everything and anything that might help is worth a try. So I have to sit down and work out meal plans to fit with it.
Last day of hormone medication today, so I'm expecting the normal side effects to kick in at some point in the next couple of weeks and then keeping my fingers crossed for the next biopsy in a month's time. I have some difficult decisions to make about what options I want them to take depending on what they find when they go in to look. If it's all looking ok I have the option of keeping on with progesterone treatment via an implant which has to be done there and then, or trying different treatment to start ovulation and get my cycle going. If its not OK it'll be the first option (they don't want me back on the stuff I've been taking if they can possibly avoid it) unless they find something new. So lots to think about.
I've also been stocking up on iron tablets... I'm hoping that by Christmas I'll be back to normal with walking etc and be able to start running, but I'm aware that may be a little ambitious. Maybe I should focus on trying to get the house sorted out by then... Or is that even more of a challenge?0 -
Congratulations all on moving forward, positivity is the key.
Sad day in the Freshair house today, donkey has moved to her new home, on the plus side though I have made someone else very happy
