Back from show and enjoying Strictly.
MG I did buy some lovely sausages and cheese but didn't want to buy masses and have to drag it all through to new flat along with all my other stuff. Very exciting news about the fabric. Tweed jackets and pencil skirts always look fab as long as you mix it /sexy it up and dont wear a full tweed suit and sensible shoes a la Miss Marple :rotfl:
Flyin Fresian told me of a deal to get in for £9.50 :money:It was £21.50 on the door  so technically my scallops with foccacia and garlic butter portion £7 and ticket to the Supertheatre to see Tom Kitchin and AWT at £4 were free. Bought a few bits for my bros Xmas as well as the cheese and sausages so bit of an expensive day but lovely to be able to do it knowing that I will have a salary coming in soon.
Good productive days elsewhere and Freshair sorry about your horse but think of the cash girl

Def NOT Miss Marple Souk - but hopefully some seriously curvy tailoring.
I am three seams away from having all of my cushions made for the sofa - but I am starving so need to eat before I fall over. It looks soooo gorgeous!!! I can't believe how much I have learned doing it.
Pictures in the morning when there is natural light I promise.
I fancy one of those wrappy wide belts that Gok has been using. Think I will try and make one out of denim as its got a bit of body.

Morning all
Managed to get loads done yesterday and lots more to do today as DH is off to the US on Monday for a couple of weeks.
I've got bids on 4 of my ebay items and lots of watchers on my main other item. All end today so I'm hoping for sales. DH has an item on too. This cash is going towards our holiday fund. DS2 and I outlined what we want to do when we are away so I need to flesh this out a bit, talk to DS1 about it (DH already fine with it all) and then start getting it booked.
Hoping DS1 feels a bit better today, he feels so ill poor lad and I'm a bit concerned incase he has glandular fever. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Oh I hope DS1 feels better - glandular fever is horrible so fingers crossed its not that.
You guys have all been so busy this weekend - it's been a regular Matrix Powerhouse:T
My boys are at Grans till after lunch so I shall be in the MFi3 mission control sewing my heart out. If everything goes smoothly I should have finished sofas today:j:j
The only other thing to do is to make anther hot dish for DS1's lunch menu. Lunch can then be a simple "pop and ping" every morning.
Its pretty quiet here - no boys and Lady Cat is not exactly the most vocal, her brother was the one who did all the "Talking" - so some rousing music is in order I think.

Morning - working on the 15 minute principle today as house also has a PJ day yesterday and looks a bit grotty.
Spent a long time thinking yesterday and having had a whole day off life yesterday (apart from a few bits and bobs) have decided that if I actually got off my behind more often and didn't do the evening slump after a hard day at school then I could actually get on top of the house, school work and life in general. Have been inspired by MGs past threads (71p in particular) and tbh felt a bit pathetic last night since we have plenty coming in and still waste loads, and waste loads of time too.
Soooo today is day 1 of the new Dora - by this time next year I will weigh less, feel fitter and more energised, I will have a mostly organised house, I will have paid off CC and car loan and I will be on top of school work, and I will have time to do the things I want to do with my family. Am going to print this off and stick it everywhere I regularly look at and in the words of Nike 'Just do it'

Go for it Dora
I have just stripped my sofa and am washing the covers at 60 to kill any bugs (I found something nasty and dead between the cover and the sofa...). The sofa, seat and back cushions have been hoovered, and I'm debating washing the small cushions as I can't remember when I last did them... I wash them hot and then fry them in the TD to kill dust mites (obviously this hot treatment works better for feathers than synthetics...).
I have found the spare covers for the sofa and seat cushions, but can't locate the spares for the back cushions. Must check whether I left them at my parents, and if not, work out where I might have hidden them...
No sign of the plasterer yet, which is annoying as I could have had a lie-in...0 -
DS2 had friends over last night so waiting for them to go so I can blitz the house. He is actually quite good at cleaning up after they have all been and has even put the dw on twice.:T
Then my mission of the day is to sort out my bedroom and en suite (which is more a storage room!) I moved the furniture around a couple of weeks ago and had to empty the drawers etc and somehow never quite got round to putting everything away. I think it had something to do with the fact that I didn't want to put all my summer clothes away and admit that the winter is coming....:(
Then I have some plants to pot up and that is my day........along with dog walking, washing, ironing etc:) So I will report back later to say it has all been done.2015 £2 Saver #82
