GQ, whatever you did & wherever you went, simply, would have been beautiful, just because YOU were there, and did what you did etc.
Somethings have to be explained, others do not. And you do not have to explain.

Blimey I'm tired after my day back at Uni doing serious thinking stuff maths-wise. Was a good day and I get to use Uni library and just off to see if I can get an NUS card - which would mean a cheap season ticket for the rugby and my team are in the final next week.
Dd is off to Wembley for the brownie/guides Big gig tomorrow so up early for a 7am start:eek:Mortgage £128,626 going down slowly0 -
It's sooooo hot here - not natural having doors open at nearly midnight in October!! Think I'm just being a killjoy but it's too much heat too suddenly for me - I was rather enjoying the cooler days of autumn!!
We can't leave items on front doorsteps here - but I do get parcels left on my back doorstep so far so good!!
I hadn't realised you were near Dundee MG - that takes me back to the days when my kids were tiddlers and we used to go to an old carvan owned by a charity in Dundee (they still have a shop in City Road where I have picked up many a bargain on my holidays up there!!) We used to pay about £10 a week for this caravan in Monifieth and I spent so many hours in a little park in Broughty Ferry as the park had a toy mechanical digger that dd and ds loved and it was the only one we had ever seen like that LOL - that must be over 25 years ago. Very frugal but fun filled holidays - think we did it 3 years running........
Sofa make over sounds great.
Did I read something about a healthy eating challenge on here or am I dreaming? - would love to join if there is.January spends - £587.580 -
Hi milann - very close to Dundee hon, but over the bridge.
It's just after seven, still dark and chucking it down with rain.
................ and I am at an ironing board making bias tape for piping sofa cushions:rotfl: The blue dye clootie gifted me has made a lovely blue that will make the perfect piping to lift the sugary colours of the patchwork.
So this is how a single mum spends a night without children :rotfl:
But at least I have a pot of tea with me

Interesting observation Fantasia, maybe the difference is between description (what I wrote) and explanation (what you perceived)? Having spent 3+ years stuck mainly in the house due to health issues, it is such a big thing for me to go on a day out that it is like experiencing the world anew - hence the somewhat detailed description! :rotfl::rotfl:
Autumn is my favourite season, and just to see and experience the reds in particular this year, has been an absolute feast for the eyes. Looking at the world afresh is sheer delight.
Last day of my hols today, and it will be mostly domestic.
Have a great day everyone! If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Hope all of you getting lovely sunny weather are making the most of it - it is grey, damp and miserable here, but it means I have no excuse for not putting in the time on ebay today! It's free listing this weekend and I have about 40 items on, but many more to do, so breakfast and then crack on with it.Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

Hey Claudiac - think we are all sharing the same rain cloud?
But as I'm out all week I now have every window wide open to let fresh air in - & believe me, it is fresh......
The fact that I'm almost having to wear a coat inside to counteract the temperature is irrelevant.
By the way - for those of you who missed Justin & Colin's programme - this is the type of coffee table I'm talking about

it was removed by J&C but brought back in by Mum within a month.
And before anyone says it - my style is just as indivudual as MG's Mum's is. Nothing matches & J&C would have a fit if they walked in here.......Debts 07/12/2021

Also taking advantage of the weather - all my fleeces need to be dragged out of the washing machine and hung on the line.
