By the way - for those of you who missed Justin & Colin's programme - this is the type of coffee table I'm talking about
    http://www.friday-ad.co.uk/PhotoAds/TW/Large/TW1324BH4.jpg (am I right MG?)

it was removed by J&C but brought back in by Mum within a month.

Must confess that was a stunt just for telly :rotfl: They loved the wooden one that C & J bought - but his face was priceless

And before anyone says it - my style is just as indivudual as MG's Mum's is. Nothing matches & J&C would have a fit if they walked in here.......

Looking around my house at the mo - I'm with you , nothing matches ..... but I have a plan ...................

.................off to phone my pal who builds sets - I'm on the scrounge.

    12 ish sounds good

Bits of thread in livingrooms??? I've got 3 chompity bones (for dogs - not me) as they refuse to let them out of their sight - and a bowl of dog food that Diego brought through (yes, he does this) in case he needs a scooby snack - as well as all the human detritas of a late night with pizza & wine for the Xfactor when DH got in at 10

And by the way - nothing matching is a sign of ingenuity & individuality. And yes, I do have to say that otherwise I'd just be odd

Sounds like you had a lovely day out Groatie Queen :) My favourite outings involve tea, cake and looking round a museum, gallery or historic property!

Dorastar - Thanks for reminding me to sort out getting my NUS Extra card.

Yesterday I did 1 hour and 20 minutes studying, was aiming for an hour and a half (with the promise of a cup of a tea and a party ring when I'd finished), but OH decided to start talking to me and I lost concentration. I only really have the kitchen table to study on, so will have to remind OH that I need to be quiet to study. There is a sofa upstairs in the spare room, but it is in close proximity to the bed, I would be very tempted to start reading while lying on the comfy bed... and we all know that would lead to no work getting done as I would be snoozing.

Living room is much tidier now. We are having some family members over for a barbecue this afternoon, so I now need to clean all the bits that the visitors can see... Had better get started.

    Morning All

Not sure how long i'm going to last today. DD ended up at the emergency docs last night and she has a kidney infection so I think we managed about three hours sleep in total.

Been keeping busy (to stop me missing the boys!) and so the kitchen it tidy, dinner cottage pie) just needs putting together, DW done, washing upto date (until the step kids get home from their mums and everything they are wearing needs stripping of and washing as it stinks!) Just blitzed the bathroom too but my fibro is playing up a bit (I do try just to ignore it mostly :D) so I've took a couple of painkillers and had a mooch on the internet beore I go and wash my hair as DS1 is supposed to be taking us to see their new place.

DH has gone to work with a hangover as he was out last night - he doesn't drink very often as he's a complete lightweight :rotfl:. Somehow I don't think the decorating will get started tonigh unless he makes a miraculous recovery lol

DD is going a funny colour again so it must be time for painkillers. Enjoy your day xx

Rainy here but still blinkin' hot. Waved goodbye to dd at 7 this morning off to Wembley - she looked every bit the trendy 10 year old and barely waved goodbye.

Ds seems content to play on electronic games of one form or another so dh is going to do bacon butties for lunch and a roasty tea while I slowly plod through house and school paperwork with lots of brews to keep me going.

Blimey I'm tired after my day back at Uni doing serious thinking stuff maths-wise. Was a good day and I get to use Uni library and just off to see if I can get an NUS card - which would mean a cheap season ticket for the rugby and my team are in the final next week.

Dd is off to Wembley for the brownie/guides Big gig tomorrow so up early for a 7am start:eek:
I am also doing PT in service course at uni - use my card for cheaper entry to places including theatre and cinema and for student membership at gym:)

Hope you brownie enjoys the Big Gig -who is on?

Ooh hadn't thought of theatre and cinema - the owrld (for the next 2 years) is now my oyster!

No idea who is on at the Big Gig but she was VERY excited this morning and we had to waste several minutes deciding exactly which outfit to wear! She had to be 10 to go and her nirthday was 29th September so she only just squeaked in there.:)

    Good afternoon,

A stunning day here so its a marathon to get all the washing done :) 3 loads done, 2 loads dry 1 load in the machine :)

    Dh has done some ironing,

shopping has been done, got a lovely joint of pork in morrisons on offer, which is in the oven as I type, plus a huge chicken that was on offer and 2 large turkey legs plus a large tub of mince, all of which will do at least 2 meals,so ideas greatly recieved :) bread and meat for sarnies bought too, so hopefully I won't have to buy much food wise this week now.
