The Matrix - Re-Evolution!!

I have come to the conclusion that I am a horrible daughter - mum rang me today and I got all defensive (I always feel as though she is intruding when she is trying to be helpful). Basically she keeps wanting to send me cheques but being a stubborn so and so I refuse to tell her where I live (this is partly down to illness and the desperate need to stand on my own two feet without being judged - my depression has been brought on by feelings of uselessness because I have failed to live up to people's expectations of me). I must arrange to go and see my parents soon.
Fiddled around with ebay today made a start on listing but not listed anything yet. Fiddled around with Paypal - added my business bank account to Paypal again (why on earth did I take it off? - again depression made me do odd things). I changed my PC to Paypal so they no longer send LVs.
I have done one lot of washing which is hanging on the line and what cannot fit on the line is drying in the flat. Done the washing up - got a horrid pork belly draft from freezer (I am not keen on pork at all and got a bit of a taste after having a small rolled belly draft for my christmas dinner). Found a strawberry jelly lurking in the cupboard - so I have made that after first dropping the ruddy stuff onto a plate of cheese crumbs - so now I have strawberry and cheese jelly:eek:
This afternoon I have applied for a part time job at the local college - I can walk there and it means working Wednesday afternoons, all day Thursday and all day Friday - I would be paid between £8410.50 and £9006 per annum. This would be ideal for me - some Wednesdays are hospital days but they tend to be early morning appointments as my consultant tries to get me to be first into clinic. Their application system is rubbish though - I have had to apply online but nowhere does it say where to submit the application all I can do is save it and nowt else. I couldnt even use the print button on their site to print off the job description, I had to use Ctrl P to print. Looked at their website, they have a beauty parlour which is open to the public - on checking prices I can get my under arms waxed for £4 (this is done by an intermediate trainee) - the spa in Selfridges charge £14 and the average seems to be around £10 round here. I might take a shufty at their hairdressing salon too as I would like a cut and a colour.
Notified Working Tax Credit people too about my change in circumstances and how I am now getting the dole because I am working less than 30hrs in my self employment. Wish they would have more people answering the phone though - I was losing the will to live hanging on for ages.
Found a pound of Lurpak slightly salted butter in the freezer which I have now fished out - it has been in there since 2007 - do you reckon it will be safe to eat?0 -

Loved the soup - but the next course was way to much btw.
He needs a wee lesson in keeping it simple I think.

Ah, lurve the pair of them. Brilliant duo.
Simple food is edible food, and much more impressive when presented well than all that nouvelle cuisinne IMHO.
Right, dishes done. Leyla & Maxi walked. 2nd glass of vino poured (might just have to finish the bottle - hell yeah).
AN evening without children MG is 1 of 2 things. Either a mega-productive time, or a total chill-out. Perhaps split the evening and have some of both xx0 -

I love them. I watched all of those programmes, now I am trying to remember a scottish couple, think I do but may be wrong.
Welcome back Fantasia, who is Maxi? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

Welcome back Fantasia, who is Maxi?
Thank you. Maxi is a friends dog. Dogsitting while they are on holiday. Leyla hates him with a passion, but she'll get over it x

Its all good MG, you are so productive at any other time. Maybe have a little something alcoholic and enjoy your 'me' time. x0 -
Had a lovely day out, however it cost me 3 cups of tea in 3 different cafes because I had several spells of feeling faint to the point of seeing stars, and things went pear-shaped when I was at the furthest point from the car. So took it gently, managed to dot from A to B to C and made the most of it - the third cafe in particular was absolutely charming, with lovely vintage crockery and tea pots, white vintage linen tablecloths, and friendly staff in black dresses with white pinnies. The garden centre cafe vouchers didn't get used, and are thus still in hand to have a couple of free cuppas later in the month! :rotfl::rotfl:
Mission accomplished on the errands, and before the rot set in, I had a lucky strike and found 3 wide-brimmed vintage soup plates in a charity shop with a lovely pattern on them, terracotta birds on a cream background, perfect for either big bowls of soup or for pasta or soupy stews. They will be well used, and were an absolute bargain.
I'll need to revisit the museum another time (minus the white-outs), but it was a beautiful building, the interior was a feast for the eyes with fab displays of lovely things and was absolutely free.
Door handle deposits are customary here too, or more accurately things get left behind the plant pot at the front door ....If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
