The Matrix - Re-Evolution!!

I have been a very busy bee so far this morning. Got up and got into the garden. By 9am I had given three out of control shrubs a serious haircut and made the garden look a bit tamer than it has looked for ages. Then I came in and made some apple, cinnamon and oat muffins for our breakfast while hubby watched the rugby and was swearing at the TV (why do men do that?! They can't hear you...!) and then.... I have done some calling around about houses we have spotted on right move. The one I have been dreaming about... has gone. Sob.
However there were others... and we have an appointment for 2pm to see one tomorrow... and we are waiting to hear about a second one at the moment.
It is suddenly feeling very real. WOW... this might get awfully stressful!

Pinch and a Punch for the first of the month - hope it is a very fruitful one for each and everyone of you
Operation loft insulation to commence very soon.
We got loft insulation from BG for free, it was a struggle to find the time to empty loft and schedule their visit though. In the end I nearly bust everything to do it in July but it was done. We're already noticing the difference - the bungalow doesn't get way too hot in this sunshine.
It was last winter that spurred me on, we all had 2-3 duvets on our beds and were still cold :rotfl:
But as for emptying the loft - never again!! And I masochistically and martyr-like, enjoy that I did it on my own0 -
Well done Crickett, how exciting to be seriously looking at houses0

Loft insulation was delayed by a couple of hours as the wasps nesting under the tiles had found there way in. Trip to B&Q and they have been exterminated.
Cooked breakie/brunch eaten by the rest of the family(not my cup of tea) so no food should be required for a couple of hours. Going to have my lunch an then do an hour in the garden. I will also get the paperwork finished this weekend, I promise myself. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Have just heard from our estate agents. The possible buyer hasn't made an offer yet because he prefers another part of the county.
He likes our house best though.
Argh!!
We are seeing a house tomorrow... so if I fall in love with it...

Crickett - you need to see LOTS of houses before you fall in love with one, just to make sure that it isn't just infatuation... By that time you'll have an offer, because if one person likes it best, so will someone else!
Sound like OH is having a fun day... Explaining to his 10 year old that he didn't have an affair, he started seeing me after he moved out into a flat, but moved back (first into the house sleeping in his office, then into a room in a house nearby) because he missed them (I don't think he mentioned the financials, which were also a factor in is giving up his flat) and that he has been with me all through that. Apparently his son asked, so hopefully this is progress, although it worries me that the moving back in confused him... Hopefully it isn't because his mother has been saying anything. Then again, if it was me, would I rather think someone left me for someone else than think that they left because of me?0 -
Hi all, I posted on this thread a couple of months ago in response to Memory Girl's weight loss challenge and have been lurking for quite a while feeling depressed and not wanting to post again because I was feeling negative. Now I am finished with feeling sorry for myself, because it is only me who can improve my life! I love the positivity on here, so I would like to join in with the Matrix properly!
Background - I am 32 years old and I am looking for a job (currently not working) and I've started my first Open University course as of today. I live with my OH, but relationship has not been great for quite a while and I am unsure what to do about this at present. I am still needing to lose weight and tone up as I am going to be a bridesmaid for my sister in January (lost weight over the last couple of years, but now steadily putting it back on due to eating rubbish and not looking after myself properly.) Have also let the housework slide and now every room needs a thorough clean.
Positive things I have done since yesterday are that I've been out for a walk both days (aiming for 5000 steps per day minimum), increased fruit intake, tackled the washing pile and made a start on tidying the living room. I actually feel pleased with myself for doing something productive and not wasting the day like I have been doing recently...
This afternoon I am going to make a start on my OU study, finish tidying the living room, deal with the niggling bits of paperwork on my desk and make a list of what else needs to be done around the house. I have borrowed a film from a friend that I will be watching this evening, as a reward! :cool:0 -
Welcome back Callisto, sounds like yesterday and today have been productive days. Good luck for the OU course.0

Has something happened to MFI3.com?
I found an email in my inbox saying there was a new post. When I clicked the link I got a 404 message so went to my bookmarked page of mfi3.com homepage and... nothing. Anyone else?
It's only a game
