  • Yeah - I'm beginning to get the "cat's don't have owners they have staff" thingie.

But no way is the dog getting away with that.

Off to have a very busy day

  • Oh cats definitely have staff.....especially that staff who spend this morning picking up pigeon feathers from the kitchen floor and then dispose of the headless body found outside for them. Staff? I am a slave more like!

Webitha hugs for you and hope you get to see your nan. Sending positive vibes she can pull through xxx

Thrifty fancy coming to do all my domestic stuff as you are soooo good at it ;)

Greenbee glad you are home safe x

Feeling in a funk this week so not been posting much. Fed up of feeling on a roller coaster with my emotions <sigh> had wee lie in so feel slightly more human.

    I've just PM'ed you MG re MFI3.

Sorry to hear about your Nan, Webitha. My xOH travelled to Wales to see his very ill Nana a few months ago, and didn't get there til after 11pm. The nursing staff let him in the room to sit for over half an hour with her before he left for the night (his choice). He was allowed back in again early the next morning, so I'm sure you will be able to spend some time with your Nan. Thinking of you (()).

  • But don't want to eat anything because eating is how I got to this *&^% size in the first place. Sigh.

Ah, problem being that not eating is the least sensible option. It appears that having something small & wholemeal with protein would be a better bet for overall well being, especially in the current circumstances.

Have an awesome time in Oxford, we were last there in April when The Wedding took place and I got to wear my "What Wedding?" badge from when his Mum and Dad tied the knot.;)

And have a most excellent Birthday!

    Happy Birthday Crickett

Sorry to hear about your nan Webitha - I feel sure the hospital will let you in to see her. I can remember my parents would always turn up outside of visiting hours to visit me in hospital, Dad would always put his best suit on and Mum would always ring ahead to say that he had been stuck in theatre all day and that they would be arriving late. I feel sure that the hospital thought he was a consultant when in reality he was an ODA in a private hospital:rotfl:

Was kept awake by noisy folks upstairs - I hate it when they have girls visiting because the volume increases as the girls are always shrill and screech a lot, furniture is never picked up and moved, it is always dragged across the floor and when stuff is dropped on the floor it sounds like a bomb going off (I hate laminate floors which is why I have rugs everywhere to dampen the sound).

Today I am off to meet an MSE member for coffee. Must do some housework, must also sort out finance stuff for council and do application form for my dream job:D

  • Thrifty fancy coming to do all my domestic stuff as you are soooo good at it ;)

Errrrmmmm that'll be a nope - nothing personal :D. My domestics is for, as MG says, me alone and my own sanity. Eeeh to be working ft again - I never used to "see" the state of the house. My how things have changed, being here 24/7 it drives me to distraction when I let it :D.

Sorry to hear you are in an emotional funk - can we help at all ???

Well yesterday was a Formula 1 power day, today is not matching up but it is still a power day, only more in the style of a horse and cart :rotfl:

I've been having a think about Mrs B's challenge too and will post later. As you said before MG, definitely feeling the ramp-up in pressure which is good (I think )

    Later y'all, Thriftyxxx

    Good afternoon

    Happy birthday Crickett

Webitha safe journey to see your nan.

    Greenbee glad your home safe.

Same here having a power day, WM on with second load, 1st load in tumble (looks like sun is out now so next lot hopefully can go on the line)

Bathroom has been cleaned :) (just floors to sweep and wash but can't do that till all the washing has been done as it is taking over the bathroom at the moment.)

Kitchen has been cleaned, wortops washed, floors swept and bleeched DW on , emptied and refilled :)

Living room has been tidied, we both ran out of steam then, having a sit before we carry on.

DH is helping but is not feeling 100% today either.

Scarf is coming along nicely, just wish I could knit faster :) and for longer without my arm aching. getting very frustrating now, but I am getting there. If I am going to have a button fastening on the scarf a bit like the one Dorcaster showed here, how long do you think it has to be and where should I put the button hole?

then got bad news my nan has had a stroke and might not make it :(:(
so im off today to go back home to wales to see her, and have to get back tonight so will be goosed tomorrow.
i dont think i will get there for visiting hours...what do you think are my chances of them letting me see her for a bit before the trek back to preston??

Sorry to hear that, webitha. Can you find out which ward she is on and ring ahead and explain the situation and ask could they make an exception for you, even for a short period of time. Explain how it's physically impossible for you to get there any earlier.

    *hugs*
  • Ladies, I've seen a place near here that sells EasiYo yoghurt makers. Are they really worth it?

How do you use them without buying the expensive sachets, MG? I know you use them and I can pretty much darn well guarantee that you don't buy those sachets. ;)
