  • Passes the tissues and gives Crickett a huuugggeee hug.

Just to echo what has been said above, once you know what is missing sit down and analyse your portfolio. If it is already there, don't be afraid to challenge the decision. Yes it hurts and feels personal at the moment so look after yourself and wait till the emotions calm before tackling this. You will get there.

    Power-day update:
    Washing sorted
    Bedroom hoovered
    Hallways hoovered
    Mince portioned for freezing
    Chicken portioned for freezing

So enjoying my cuppa tea :D.

Ds has requested that we go on a bus-ride to a nearby town for lunch. That'll be really nice, it is a 40-minute ride with beautiful countryside and seaviews all the way. The caff makes the most supreme bacon butties and there is a craft shop so I can investigate their wool prices.

    Off to investigate bus-times.

    Hello all

Had a laugh at the sugaring jam :rotfl: Sending hugs to Crickett and anyone who needs them today too.

Feeling gloomy today - now wondering if CCCS will help me with one debtor, all the others are behaving but one is particularly vile and have said that my credit file will be marked for 11 years (I know that is nonsense but when you are in a dark place anything is possible). I got a snotty note telling me that I didnt pay my minimum amount last month - when I had logged on the minimum amount was less than they had originally asked because they had refunded all the interest they had overcharged me going back to May, this month they want £80 which I haven't got:mad:

Saw a job on Twitter at the Hyatt Regency for a Sales Manager in Events so I rang them to find out more and was told to submit my CV online and then maybe they will send the job description..I shall submit but think that it was a rather odd thing to say. The jobhunt continues.

I notice that it is free listing on ebay so stuff will be added - I have some wedding nonsense to be rid off..all it will do is clear the overdraft I have at business bank because this is where my paypal money goes because that is the linked account.

I have made a start on my receipts for the council re my housing benefit, I have stuff from April to work through, I shall type it up and submit it with a copy of my accounts because there is no way that they will want to photocopy all my receipts (I had this argument with them before as there is no way that I am going to photocopy every single receipt not on my low income!). Sorry to be a whiney old whingebag today, hope to be better tomorrow as I am off out for coffee with an MSEr.:D
  • Oh Crickett - I'm sorry.

Have they given you a list of things they think are missing?

Do you want someone to read it for you and compare to the objectives - I am happy to volunteer if it would be useful?

Let's get this cracked asap xxx
  • Hugs, Crickett, and hugs to Horace too. Nit picking evidence supplying can feel endless... but deep breath, and onwards we go.

I hit a bump in the road with putting up the fleecy linings to curtains, but will be continuing this afternoon. I'm going through a bit of a downturn in energy thanks to the treatment I'm on, so my 15 minute goes at tasks are more like 5 mins atm :rotfl::rotfl:... but it will all get done just the same, just in smaller bites.

Thrifty, I love the sound of your outing today - a bus, seaviews, a caff, a bacon buttie - and a craft shop for afters. Hope you have/had a lovely time!

  • Well, have taken myself off to the toilet and had a good howl. Feel slightly better... if still a tad delicate. Have also gone through the whole "I am so angry I am going to hit someone or something " stage as well. So, moving onto acceptance now.

Came back to my desk, put in another telephone call to CIPFA to be told that they had not got the reports from the assessors back yet. Seriously?! Why send the results then, or reword your email to reflect this?! Just another indication of how useless CIPFA can be. So, spoke to the administrator and she said that it would be a maximum of 20 pages to re-write, I could submit it electronically and it should be fine. As soon as she has the assessors report, then she will let me have it and I can have another go.

Thank you for your offer of help TMIF, and I might very well take you up on it. We'll see what the git wants me to do as extra. :(

I am NOT going to touch this while I am off next week on leave. I will attack it when I get back. Though if I meet anyone who is an official at CIPFA, I might need to be physically restrained from poking his eyes out.

I am off work from noon today, so I am going to take my time getting to my car, drive to my counsellor appointment, then after that I might go back home via the gym, but most likely I will go home, pick up something crafty and lose myself in that for the rest of the day.

And it is my birthday tomorrow. So, I am determined not to be grumpy!! :D

Thank you for the support Matrix... it means the world to me.

  • Any birthday/week off plans Crickett? I hope you're having a birthday cake at the very least!

I agree - no profile shenanigans until you're back at work. Don't even think about it ;)

Have a wonderful week off you lucky girl. I want one!

    Take care xxx

Hugs Crickett, it sounds almost unbelievable that the bods would want more from you in the report, hope that the changes/additions will be minor and easily done x

Clairewop - glad you're on the mend, and how about suggesting to your OH that he continues with the good work re: housework, to take some of the pressure off you going forward? :) He sounds like he did a great job whilst you were laid up.

Hello Horace and hope tomorrow is a gorgeous day for you - and that today gets better too!

I've just been a numpty and made some gluten free chocolate cupcakes for OH as I feel I've been a bit of a nag recently (only nagging him to get some health issues sorted out, but given that he lives with it all the time, I hope I've not overstepped the mark, so want to sweeten him up). However, I grabbed bicarb of soda rather than baking powder.....wonder what they'll taste like? I'm not renowned for my cooking where he's concerned.....as a pescetarian of 30 years' standing, trying to cook for a non-gluten, non-dairy meat eater can be quite tricky, especially when I have pescetarian DD who doesn't like spicy foods or cheese sauces yet.

Working from home on a really tricky project that HAS to be done today or I'll get a well-deserved telling off and I have very little energy for it. Someone give me a kick up the backside please!
  • Thats crappy crickett - deep breath and back to it after a break.

Its teeming down here - and I feel like I am going round and round in the writing so I am calling a break, making some soup and then pulling my pens out for a Mind Map to clear the synapses.

AwwCrickett that is disappointing however you're most of the way there with the portfolio, just a bit extra to be done. I know you will find the strength to do it. Imagine looking back at that certificate. It will feel like such an amazing achievement especially given the trials on the journey there. Hope you have a great birthday :D

The day is picking up slightly - I have found a job that I would really love to have so I am bloomin' well going to apply for it. It is a job as a front of house manager for a stately home and I get accommodation thrown in as well which is pretty good because really I want to be out of my flat even though my landlord is nice.

Still feeling a bit bleurghh and low but have just looked out at my tomato plants which are on their last legs to the remaining tomatoes need to be picked (I will never grow Gardeners Delight again, they are the worst tomato I have ever grown as they all split:mad:). I don't feel like doing much today so I probably won't:D
