I posted this on my diary - which is really just a burble but keeps me thinking about one day being DF - but thought I would share it here too as it might raise a chuckle :)

DD2 in debt busting mode of thinking - after being told I would not be buying her an epilator for Christmas - she found recipe/method for sugaring solution;a kind of syrupy gloop used for hair removal bit like waxing ( for those who might not have heard about it) Any she succesfully made some and cut up an old pillow case for the strips. The syrupy gloop she left in the kitchen in an old strawberry conserve jar. OH came home early from work and fancied some toast.......yes you guessed it. We havent stopped laughing yet. OH maintains its not that funny. We think it is:rotfl:Best thing is that he told DD2 that jam she had made tasted quite nice but was a bit runny....now I find that even funnier - DD2 make jam:rotfl::rotfl:

I am rolling on the floor laughing at this!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: My whole family came out to see what was wrong with me! They thought mum has finally lost it :rotfl::rotfl:Best laugh I have had in sooo long!

    Loving the sugaring chat!

MG, I dont know who that man is but yep, mysterious forces and all that!

Crickett, really hope it all goes well for you tomorrow.

I've had a call to tell me I may not get my call tomorrow, it could be Monday or Tuesday. I have a second nterview with a different company on Monday and I HAVE to go to it for some security if I haven't heard by then. Day off tomorrow so going to try and enjoy it and not worry. Out with my friend and her folks tomorrow night. Her dad is a traditional 'Why haven't you settled down yet' sort. I'm only going so that he feels more inclined to be nicer to her after he's met me!!!!!!

  • You know, I just fancied popping out from behind the lurking curtain to wish everyone a 'good morning' and hope that everyone's day goes quite well.

I am still in bed, the back pain has disappeared for now and until it returns I will continue to lie here and enjoy the pain free time.

The weather up here in Jarrow is cold, damp and blustery and my weekly treat to the flea Market may just be cancelled this week, which may be just as well as I spent £3.70 out of my weekly £10 treat/necessities personal allowance on two bottles of ale yesterday!

Not because I am a closet afternoon drinker but because I felt I had to share my celebration with my pal.

Yesterday I received the report from my occ health appointment from my employer and it confirmed my thoughts re: my back issues. This feels like a minor personal victory due to my manager just not listening to my concerns about my health for over a year now!

So I am hoping I continue with my feeling of happiness and positiveness and I hope that this spreads to all the lovely people on this thread and over on the matrix.

Ps unfortunately I am unable to proof this post because I am using my iPhone and I can't scroll back so apologies for any typos!

Big weekend for me, I have to finish the first draft of the first chapter of the PhD. It is truly horrible work so far :o I hope it is supposed to start off this unstructured/unresearched.... I feel a bit down about it but let's face it, The ONLY WAY IS UP!! I am a bit ashamed to show it my supervisor end of next week :(

Erm, or at least get a reason for the delay and devise a plan to get over it :);)

    Good morning

Feeling tired still this morning, but nother night without having to get up a few times to go to the loo was great :)

My scarf is coming along great about a third done now, I have decided to put a large button on it to fasten it, that way I don't have to make it so long :) Going to take it to the hospital today, I may well nearly finish it then :) *wanders off to find a tutorial for button holes *

Starting to feel aprehensive about the injection, but I Will be much better and more productive when it is done :)
