Tmif - when I do a stew in the slow cooker, I just leave it all day. Probably goes on at about 8.15 and we eat around 6.30 ish. I've actually got pork chops in there today, put them on just after 9 and I dont think we will eat until at least 6.30 tonight.

Wow, MG. No such thing as coincidence... go for it! What a lovely thing to happen, on a significant anniversary for you.If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Crumbs... what a day! Have done some of the most brain bending work I have done in ages. Feel completely wiped out... but happy, because it is a real achievement. Still very nervous about results day tomorrow. Keep getting butterflies and feel quite sick. I hate all this waiting around!
I made some cranberry and walnut dark chocolate brownies last night. I brought most of them into work to share around as it is my birthday on Saturday... and I am off at noon tomorrow for a week's leave. They went down really well (not a crumb left!) and everyone was saying they were the best brownies they had ever tasted... which is nice! They weren't cheap to make... but they tasted lush!
I think I am going to go to the Boots shop and get weighed on my way home. I am not looking forward to this, but my nutritionist wants to know, along with a food diary... so I guess I am going to have to do it. Bite the bullet.Bluergh.
Right then... see you all tomorrow... I will of course, let you know the result of the CIPFA Portfolio. Though if it is good news... you will all hear the EUREKA!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -

When I divorced, money was tight and I bought myself IKEA's then cheapest chest of drawers (Aneboda, the one with the opaque plastic front panel). Buy cheap, buy twice.... several years on, the middle drawer keeps collapsing and finally can't be fixed. I'm thinking of recycling the drawers into salad cold frames.... It's a good chance to whittle down my clothes yet again.
BTW, no viewers since July, so the Universe is undoubtedly still lining up my buyer, and either the future house I have in mind, or something better :T:T. In the meantine, I'm gearing up for more de-cluttering, cos when I do sell and move I want the process to be serene and organised. Now why does that thought make me want to giggle insanely??If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Like the area managers meeting when I worked in retail, ooh, 12, 13 years ago; 3 of them couldn't find their mobiles at the end of it. And, let's face it, like Mars Bars, mobiles were larger in those days...:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Thanks for all the positive vibes - we were small in number but they enjoyed it and wrote glowing evaluations, and are happy someone is doing something for parents (at long last). Chatted at headteacher today and he has agreed that we (me, him and the learning mentor) need to make ourselves more visible and chat to the parents before and after school - this would be a minor miracle for him as he hates having to talk to them.
Also managed to get a lot of serious worky stuff started and am out of class tomorrow to carry on with it. Also spotted an email that he hadn't dealt with which was about me!!! and I tackled him about it and I am now signed up with Edge Hill University to do a specialist maths teachers course for the next 2 years which is very:eek: and also:T. Am ok at maths but this will give me lots of ways to improve what we are doing in school and will also let me work with other mathsy people (I am not one at heart) and is good for me to get out there away from the confines of my ickle school world.
Oh and the new wall is about 1/3 builtMortgage £128,626 going down slowly0
