I posted this on my diary - which is really just a burble but keeps me thinking about one day being DF - but thought I would share it here too as it might raise a chuckle
DD1 in debt busting mode of thinking - after being told I would not be buying her an epilator for Christmas - she found recipe/method for sugaring solution;a kind of syrupy gloop used for hair removal bit like waxing ( for those who might not have heard about it) Any she succesfully made some and cut up an old pillow case for the strips. The syrupy gloop she left in the kitchen in an old strawberry conserve jar. OH came home early from work and fancied some toast.......yes you guessed it. We havent stopped laughing yet. OH maintains its not that funny. We think it is:rotfl:Best thing is that he told DD1 that jam she had made tasted quite nice but was a bit runny....now I find that even funnier - DD1 make jam:rotfl::rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

DS - blimey Edge Hill - I can remember when it was a college and when I was packed off to stay with my aunt who ran a children's home in Ormskirk, we used to clamber into our minibus and get taken to Edge Hill College (now University) once a week to use the swimming pool. I remember they had wierd swimming cossies that you would put on over your own and all around the waist of the cossies there were loops that polystyrene rods were put in to keep you afloat. I know that I couldnt swim (I didnt learn until I was 13) and at the time of going to Edge Hill I was aged 7 (I remember being sent to Ormskirk and having to stay there for a whole year whilst my mum was ill). Well done though on getting a Uni place.
I had the working party today and I walked from my place to Rubery via the whoopsie shelf in the Co-op where I bought 4 packs of custard donuts (each pack contained 5) for 39p each. One pack was left in friend's office for his staff to chomp on and one was given to the guy who arranged the meeting room and made me a mug of tea, the rest we ate:D My job is to sort out the auction catalogue - and sort out my own offering which will be a half day blogging seminar - why you should blog, how to write one and more importantly how to SEO it properly. I need to work out a cost - I know that my fee varies and I will need to cost in the cost of a seminar room with refreshments (best get on a ring a few folks). Got moaned at for cancelling the Monday breakfast meet, chum said he hadnt been notified, so I told him to read his email and to open his ears because I mentioned it when I saw him in his office last week:mad: I do not like the venue and won't be going back - you cannot hold a meeting in a room where music is blaring out and the venue refuses to turn the volume to a more manageable level because it is against their rules so we have to suffer ear bleedingly painful music.:mad:0 -
Well, one and all, everyone seems to be having a good day.
I have finished stage one of Super Secret Squirrel Project, which is good. There is a side project (Side Super Secret Squirrel Project) which requires sending an e-mail to someone and getting them to agree to speak to me, which I should probably do now, 1.5 white wine glasses into the evening, while I still have the courage.
Also, must write up something important (which is already late), practice music, clean instrument and pluck eyebrows this evening. And make lunch. And finish a diagram. OK, scrap that last one - that's just too much.
Oh yeah...one more thing. WATCH THE TORCHWOOD FINALE!*swoon*

Well, kind of The Dragon... I have just submitted my portfolio - reflective commentary, telling them how wonderful I am etc. If they liked it, then I get to put the letters CPFA after my name. If I don't... then I have to spend... oh about £700 resubmitting it all!!
